Chapter 1
One day in a small neighborhood in Medford (OR), a seven-year-old boy named Jacob sits in his room wondering what to do with his big brother Noah. Noah is fourteen and he mostly hangs out with his friends. Anyways Jacob rode his bike to an old arcade. He Bought a game called “vines and cords” because he thought this would be interesting. He brought it home. Jacob said to his brother “come try this new game called “vines and cords”. Noah said “Okay but let’s go to the basement where it is quiet.” They started playing the game then Jacob rolled a ten. The game started glowing and then a card appeared and it said “look-up.” They took a look and they saw that the roof disappeared! And another card came out of the sky and it said hold on tight. They were confused when they heard a loud noise, (BOOOOOOOM) they were in space!
Jacob screamed with joy. Jacob said let’s check out the house and walk around. “Okay fine,” said Noah. They opened the front door and they saw that their whole town was flat and had vines all over the houses everywhere! Then a giant three-hundred-foot-tall die came crashing down. It squashed three houses flat. Then a strange blue beam came out of the sky and the two boys ended up on a cliff. The die shrunk down to standard size and Jacob picked it up and said I think we are in the board game Noah ″ Jacob rolled the die and rolled a seven all of a sudden he flew seven feet away from his brother. Noah said “I wanna try” and he rolled a fifteen. He started zooming and landed in a puddle. “Now I’m all wet!” said Noah. Jacob rolled a box that seemed to look like a card. Then a card came falling from the clouds and it said, “go back two steps.” Jacob went back two steps and fell off a cliff then he appeared back where he started. Later they were on the other side of the neighborhood when a surprise came to them. A huge meteorite came crashing down. Then a card came again and it said “say activate to turn on shield WARNING: one-time use.” Noah yelled out “Activate.″ The meteorite broke into little pieces and they were saved. Jacob said that’s enough trill for me let’s go home and try to get some sleep. “Okay,” said Noah. While the two brothers rolled their way home two more meteorites came out of the sky! “Heyyy those aren’t meteorites, they are cannonballs from a ship.” RUN NOW QUICK HIDE!” said Noah. They rolled the die as fast as they could and they made it home. They built a pillow fort in the living room and hid and wanted for what seemed hours. Their wall came crashing down from a mini ship. Noah and Jacob jumped on the ship. Noah was trying to know how to work the ship but Jacob just started pressing buttons. The ship flew up and started flying toward a mothership thingy. When they got to the docking port they parked and fell asleep. When they woke up they were in the docking port they got to the mother ship thingy and Jacob said come on we gotta get out of here!
