Chapter 1-Lily
Lily.
That was her name.
She danced with flowers, rode her favorite horses, and played with her German shepherd, Poly, since she was a kid.
Lily also had teachers for every subject because she didn't attend school like other kids.
That was forbidden to her, but she had no idea.
She thought that her life was perfect, just like her parents wanted.
Drake and Petria Sumers were filthy rich people who lived in an old castle surrounded by a huge landscape with lakes, waterfalls, woods, and everything else.
Every time guests arrived, Lily stayed in her room, with an excuse that she was learning, but it was far from the truth.
She was a prisoner in her own home.
She had no friends to play with, and when she asked about them, the answer was always that she was special and could get a terrible disease from them.
She could be fooled when she was a child, but soon she turned 18, and some things were suspicious.
She read a lot of books and loved romance, but how could she have one when she had never met anyone in her own life except the old teachers?
Her parents were the only company she had, but only for mealtime.
Others taught her to walk, run, ride, read, and swim.
Lily was a lonely soul, and the time had come when she started to realize that.
"Why can't I go into town sometimes, like shoping or something?" She asked one night at dinner, and her father almost choked.
Petria was smarter.
"Because you have everything that you need here and more!" She said to her coldly.
"Is there a war or something, a plague that I'm not aware of?" She continued to ask, her parents acted like they couldn't seem to be unable to go to college." She asked.
"You will study here, the best professors will come to teach you, as always", her father spoke.
"Why?"
"I know what it's like outside, I want to live like normal people, not like a prisoner!" She raised her voice, knowing that she would be punished.
It was common for her mother to slap her, or even worse, her father used his belt when she was younger, but now, who knows? It was like they both were afraid of something, and Lily was right.
They were afraid of losing her because of the prophecy, at least that was what was told her when she was a young girl, but the truth was much scarier.
Her mother sold her before she was even born, to the devil itself.
Petria was the daughter of poor peasants who worked day and night on a farm they had, and she was a beautiful, young 16-year-old girl when she met Michael, a boy from a rich family, and got pregnant.
Lily had her beauty as well: big blue eyes, long, curly black hair falling onto her shoulders, and a body...she was a tiny venera.
Her mother's hair was blond, meaning Lily gained her color from a real father, since Derek had blond hair.
Everything about her was different, and she started to notice that a long time ago, and the questions in her mind started bothering her.
When Petria finds out about the pregnancy, she is thrilled, just like her parents were, hoping that they will get out of the misery they were living in, but fate wants a different outcome.
When she told Michael, he smiled in her face, telling her that she was a whore and to get rid of the bastard that wasn't his, because she wanted his money and status.
Petria was devastated.
Michael's father was an attorney, and it was easy to put her parents into prison if they said any word about that to anybody, so they kept their mouths shut, but not Petria.
She told Michael everything, and she cursed him for eternity.
That night, she ran into the woods, not knowing how deep she was in there, crying and cursing God who gave her that life.
She cursed the baby in her belly also, wanting her to disappear from her life instantly, so she decided to throw herself from the cliff into the deep river, but she could only try.
She was standing there, lifeless, when the voice interrupted the silence that surrounded her.
Strangely, she didn't notice the silence.
The birds, animals, and even a leaf on the trees stopped, and everything was silenced when HE appeared.
The devil himself.
She couldn't see him, only to hear his deep voice and feel his breathing on her neck.
He touched her belly, and it was like she worked up.
"I can help you if you give me what I want", the voice spoke.
"I don't have anything to give you, please, don't torture me, just kill me", her voice shivered.
"If I kill you, I won't get what I want from you", the deep masculine voice spoke.
"What do I have that you want?" Petria asks him.
"Your child", he answered, smelling the scent around her.
She suddenly felt fear and relief.
"What do you mean?" She asked.
"I mean you'll have a great future, husband, dream house, and a man that will love you, but you must give me the child", he said.
"Yeah, like I could live like a princess", she laughed painfully.
"So shall be then, but remember one thing, if you don't give her to me willingly, I'll come for her, and you'll be sorry that you born," the voice threatened.
"I have no desire to live no more, so do what you want with me, or go to hell!" She hissed.
"You don't trust me?" The voice roared.
"She laughed again, falling on the ground, like she didn't care anymore.
"Fine, I'll live like a princess, and you'll have her, because you already know it's a girl. You think you're a God, so be it," she said, losing her strength.
"So be it", the voice spoke, and the darkness took her.
