Summary

Elliot and Penelope Cromwell, missionary kids from Central America, have tragically lost both of their parents, forcing them to adjust to life on their own. When these tragedies prove too much for her, young Penelope retreats from her loving brother’s care and elopes with Michael Thatcher, a cunning man in his mid-twenties. Penelope soon discovers that Michael is not the man she thought he was, and she is forced into a decision that will change her life forever. Convinced of Michael’s true nature and desperate to help his sister, Elliot relies on the strength of Christ to save his sister’s soul, bringing her home and nursing her back to health. But is it too late? Can Penelope’s broken spirit be revived? Full of heartache, hope and love, Wounded Faith is a tear-jerking novel that moves you to tears but leaves you with hope; a vivid reminder of the goodness of God and the sanctity of life.

PROLOGUE

Nathan Cassidy was fit, toned and stood about six feet tall. He had jet black hair that was shaved short on the sides and, if left to its own devices, usually stuck up about two inches atop his head. Nathan often combed it to one side, gelling it slightly and giving it a brushed yet somewhat spiky appearance. His chin was dressed in a black goatee, the thin beard of which continued up his jawline to meet his sideburns, framing in his blue and gray speckled eyes which were full of affection and tenderness.

Nate was twenty-five years old and the second of five children. His parents, while not overly affectionate, had been happily married for thirty-five years. He was kind and compassionate, and he loved fiercely and selflessly.

Nathan had two great loves in his life--his God, and his wife.
