Summary

"It's just that I've never met her before, I hardly had any chance." He frowned. "It's okay, she'll come around. It's totally new for both of you," I tried to calm him down. All these years, he never had a thought of her. Huh...I don't think he ever tried hard enough to meet her. I've been working for him for quite a few years. Hmmm and I can say it for sure he had never tried. The reason seems quite convincing to me because of his workaholic and arrogant nature. All he ever cares and talks about - work work and work. God only should know how he's gonna deal with her. She's adorable in every aspect. Maybe it's because of her... "Hey, snap out of it. Stay focused and help me here, will ya?" He interrupted my thoughts.

Chapter 1

It's morning already... the sunlight is hitting me hard enough through the windows, birds chirping in a distance.

Rock music playing loud, coming from the neighborhood. Nice way to ruin someone's morning.I can smell the aroma of hot chocolate coming from the kitchen.

It's probably dad in the kitchen, preparing breakfast for his little princess. I wish Sharon's there to help him.
It's been eight years since mom died. Still he takes care of me as if I'm a child.
LI don't blame him...he's giving his best. I'm the only family he has got, also he's my best friend. And he's a great dad.
With all these thoughts in mind, Part of me urging to get my ass out of bed, part of me as usual pulling up the cozy sheets over my face.
"Knock knock," I heard Sharon's knuckles tapping on my door.
"Not now, Sharon. I'm gonna wake up in two...no wait, three hours," I stretched and moaned sinking my face into the pillow.
"Max, you need to wake up now. Or else you're gonna be late for your own graduation ceremony," I heard dad talking loud enough from the kitchen.
"Oh my God...what am I even thinking? I shouldn't have partied all night long, I should get ready before...aahhh," I tried to get up but ended up falling onto my face with a huge thud.
"What happened? Are you alright?" Sharon opened the door, shocked to see me lying on the floor with bedsheets wrapped up my feet.
"Please just don't say anything," I covered my face to avoid an eye contact with her.
She bursted into laughter, "Oh God, look at you. No wonder Harry treats you like a little girl. Now get ready and have your breakfast before it gets cold."
Huh...so funny and so great she didn't even help me to get up. I got ready as fast as I could. I shoved pancakes down my throat with a cup of hot chocolate in a hurry.
"Ha ha...slow down there sweetie," Sharon patted my head. She's been staying with us since we moved to Florida.
After mom died, we had to move for some change and new beginnings in our lives.
I hugged Sharon, and rushed to the gate. Dad's already waiting in the car for me.
"Feeling tensed?" Dad asked me in a calming tone. "Yeah, a little dad," I smiled.
"Don't worry sweetie, you'll be great in that graduation coat. And you know what? Daddy's proud of his little girl," He patted my head.
"Love you Dad," I hugged him.
On the way we listened to and sang our favourite tunes. We soon reached the venue, I can see my friends waving at me, walking towards the parking lot.
"Max, I'm so worried. What took you so long?" Kate complained.
"I thought you're not going to make it, after all that partying hard last night," I nudged Josh to stop it before my father.
"Glad we reached on time, I'm gonna grab a cup of coffee, Max. You guys carryon, I'll catch up with you," Dad patted my shoulder walking away towards the coffee shop.
"Come on guys, we better hurry." As we're about to enter the ceremonial hall, we came across Anton, the handsome hunk of our college.
He's the only guy who can sweep off the feet of any girl he sets his mind to, like even a strong headed woman like our professor Mrs landers, the pain in almost everyone's ass in the college.
We tried to start a conversation with him, but as usual he ignored us and walked towards the hottest group of girls standing across the hall.
Kate pissed off by looking at his damn attitude towards them. She punched her hand in air pointing towards him.
I pulled her away calming her down, "Let's go, it's not a new thing that's happening today. Let's focus on the speech."
