Chapter 1: The Genesis
The only sound she could hear was of her bare African feet pounding the virgin soil of Rimi Valley. The midday sun was the light of her path towards the edge of the Rimi cliff. She was a fearless young girl in her early twenties who could explore the valley without an accomplice. Her bravery was like a ruby medal from the gods of the precious land, mighty amd indestructible. She was a loyal believer of the supernatural cult of Shima gods of her motherland. Her name was "Daria" a Persian name which was an answer to her extraordinary personality of being courteous and benevolent.
Every other afternoon, Daria would stroll around the valley trapping butterflies into jars as well as ladybugs too. She was really fond of nature and had her own mini zoo in her father's citrus orchard. This distinctive day was different from the others, she was picking up flowers and scanning the fertile valley for unique and edible plants. She had left home without telling anyone and this prompted her father to send one of his men to search for her. Her father was a community leader who was very protective and would use his power to protect his last born daughter. The valley was hyena infested but Daria knew how to manouvre around it. The manservant Sauti went to search for the girl on a brown stallion and he was one of the best men.
As Daria was walking slowly towards the swampy area of the valley, she saw a meteorite falling from the sky and that was a bizzare occurrence to be witnessed at midday. It turns out she was the only one seeing it, the glowing space object fell a few metres away from her. The star attracted the curious girl and she inched towards it with the intention of touching it. The grass within its landing area had been scorched and these occurrences seemed to be imaginary yet so real in Daria's world. She knelt down to clearly scan the object with her eyes but the shining crystals on it irritated them. The moment the tip of her index finger brushed over the meteorite, she disappeared. Sauti witnessed this from a distance and he was astounded (gobsmacked) to witness such a supernatural occurrence.
The only thing Sauti could do was to return to the village to narrate what he had seen to Daria's father. No one would believe him back in the village because none of the community people really believed in superstition except for Anika the Astrologer. The belief of the Shima people was that only the village astrologer, the King and the elders could witness spiritual events. "Where did Daria disappear to?", Sauti asked himself. The only thing left at the scene was Daria's royal anklet which Sauti took to the King as evidence of the rare occurrence.
Daria was teleported to a new dimension that no one has ever seen or imagined. Where did Princess Daria go? Food for Thought.
