INTRODUTION
I take a deep breath, but just like at the hospital, nothing is going in, not until I feel him anyway. He stood behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist.
“I’m sorry, baby. Hopefully, now you have a name, you can take it to the police and leave it to them to find him.”
No. No way. There’s no way I’m trusting them with this. Christ! They’re useless. I tell him this too, and he sighs.
“So, what do you intend on doing, Car? This could get dangerous. I mean, we don’t even know who he is yet.”
“Exactly, yet. Believe me, I’ll find out exactly who he is. Once I do, I’m getting my answers. I might not be able to prove my friend’s murder, but I’m sure as shit finding out who attacked me. I swear, once I find her ex, I’m making him pay.”
No idea how, but he’ll regret the day he ever met her.
