Moonies | The Cowpocalypse

Flat on her belly with the underside of the estate car directly above her, Carly did her best to control her breathing. Not for the first time in her life she was relieved to be somewhat lacking in the chest area but she put such thoughts aside. She had far bigger things to worry about than the size, or lack thereof, of her breasts.

She heard the distinct sound of hooves-on-metal and the weight of the creature standing, probably only with its forelegs for the time being, pushed the chassis closer to the ground.

Fuck. She cursed silently to herself, not wanting to risk giving away her position. Moonies weren’t as quick as the average bouvine but even so, she was all-too aware there was no way she would be able to outrun it without a head start.

She felt the car shift once again as the Moonie stepped back onto the ground, and began to sniff around the car itself as if to pick up her scent. Carly could hear its nostrils flaring, and though it was currently somewhere behind her in her mind’s eye she could see it salivating, drooling; hungry for the taste of human flesh it so craved.

Fuck fuck fuck.

As quietly as she could and making as few movements as possible, Carly reached down her body to her hip and removed the holstered machete. She knew she was only going to have one crack, and she had to make it count. If the cow worked out where she was it would flip the car and devour her within seconds.

Carly had no intention of going out like that.

Still the Moonie sniffed and smelled, its nose to the ground as if it was a bloodhound rather than a homicidal Alderney.

Only one chance, one shot, and peering from beneath the estate car she took it. As soon as the cow unknowingly showed her its udders she reached out and slashed wildly. Perhaps more by luck than judgement she took the flesh clean off at the base and it slopped to the ground, followed quickly by torrents of blood and guts and entrails - it all came out.

Carly quickly shuffled herself out from beneath the car, the opposite side to that of the Moonie, as finally the creature itself dropped heavily to the concrete with a thud.
