Simply amazing.

"Hard to know what to write, how these stories make me feel. If true, they are amazing and deep. If fiction, still damned good! Read for yourself, I say, and see what they do for your imagination. And to the author that lived through these tales, bravo. I hope you keep telling."

Riveting

"In ten segments, this recounting of summer nights in Daytona is nothing but riveting. The impersonal nature of the narrator’s perspective made the exposition almost palpable due to its almost apathetic disposition. What comes to mind is the non-stop affliction of violence in TOM and JERRY, POPEYE and BRUTUS, and WILE E. COYOTE and the ROAD RUNNER. Fortunately for the cartoons, the violence is merely a figment of the creator’s imagination. But this Daytona Experience has the most brutal cut—raw and unabashedly honest. The author tells the story with unblinking eyes and provoking words, causing ogling delight or nail-biting disquietude in the reader. Either way, the reader will be captured by this re-telling of a young man’s summer night capers in Florida. Some may be delighted by the no-nonsense thuggery of the predator duo stalking the innocents and the naive. For others, it might serve as an apotropaic function to ward off evil. But it can also teach vigilance. Thus, one can hope for deliverance from man’s inhumanity to man."

Maybe the most powerful story yet

"As a reading having read all of professorjpj's stories, and loved every one of them, its hard to say more. Not sure if this is a short story or a novella, but knowing his style its all true. I love the beach, but to witness what he and his brother did, I cant imagine. Well done and well told professorjpj. I hope your writing keeps coming. If I had one complaint, id have enjoying seeing their final fate after the hotel, but sadly, he didnt see it, so we dont either."
