It’s not your fault. Jasper hasn’t been away from human blood as long as the rest of us.
BELLA

CARLISLE

BELLA
What are you talking about?
CARLISLE
Bella you can be honest with me we’re old friends
BELLA
I know. I just don’t want the others to hear us talking. I just can’t risk it. And I assume you have questions. I’ll answer them.
CARLISLE
Why did you come to Forks?
BELLA
My brother Kol, I made him a promise.
CARLISLE
What was the promise?
BELLA
Doesn’t matter. What matters is that I found Edward.
CARLISLE
Yeah I know how that feels. I feel that way with Esme. You’re all done. You can take them out when you get home. You should be healed by then and no one will be suspicious.
BELLA
Thanks Carlisle.
CARLISLE
You don’t need to thank me.
BELLA
Yeah I do. You have to put up a front around me so Edward doesn’t read your mind and find out what I really am. You lie to your entire family so that my family stays safe from our father. And that’s a hard debt to repay. The least I can do is say Thanks.
CARLISLE
You faked your death to make sure your family was safe from Mikael. I know you would do the smae for me.
(They hug)
CARLISLE
I hope one day you can be reunited with your family
BELLA
Me too.
CARLISLE
You never have to worry about having to hide your true self with me you know that right?
BELLA
