Good characters
"This book has many interesting and well developed characters. Plot twists are good, but more attention could have been paid to the over-arching plot of why the invasion took place. Maybe more historical background to the countries and lands involved could have been given. Looking forward to the next book and continued story."

"I love the main characters and dialogue. Also there is a large number of interesting characters with varying motivations. I would like to receive more knowledge of the overall plot without spoiling the ending and any twists that are on the way. Why are they fighting in the first place? Should I care more about what’s going on than simply hoping that the evil general died and the “bad” side loses."
