The Last Airbender and Airis

Summary

For every sunrise, there will always be a sunset. Yin and Yang. For every Avatar there always must be an Airis to save the world. This is how the story begins. Every hundred years there is a Avatar that can bend all four elements. Earth, Fire, Water, Air. But what if I told you that this legend is only half true. The scroll that had the legend on it was split in two. The other half held another Avatar. Except bending the four elements, they bender other things. The hidden elements behind the original four. Light, Dark, Sound, Poison. They are called Airis.

Reunion

Sokka POV

We have been flying with this bald kid named Aang or the Avatar for hours and I’m starting to die of starvation. My stomach is growling and everything. “Hey Aang when are we going to get to the air temple you keep nagging us about?” I ask. I feel a sharp pain in my arm and see it was my LITTLE sister Katara being a butt. “What!” I complain. That get me another punch. Aang just laughs as he drives Appa. Yeah he can laugh cause he isn’t being hit by Katara. He got the safest spot on this ride.

“We’re here everyone.” He announces. Finally a chance to find food.

Aang POV

Aw man, I can’t wait for everyone to meet Sokka and my dear Katara. Then we can play games and- Where is everyone? I look around and the court square is empty. A place where all the kids played, no one. “Aang?” I hear Katara as she approaches me.

“Yes.” I answer. I think she was about to say something when I spot my old game called Air Ball (Correct if wrong). I haven’t played this since the kids stopped playing with me. I rush over there holding Katara’s hand. “Look you guys. Air Ball. Wanna play?”

“What are the rules? They ask with big smiles. But, I sense a hint of pity in their smile. I ignore it and explain the rules.

Katara POV

Me and my brother Sokka have been talking and we think that no one is here anymore since the war had started 100 years ago. The same time Aang was in the ice burg. He missed so much. I tried to tell him that fact, but with the smile on his face I just couldn’t do it. He was way too happy to be here and I couldn’t destroy that so I kept my mouth shut. Sokka tried during Air Ball 3 times, but it turns out he couldn’t either. I guess he has to lean the news on his own and he has us for supporters.

Aang POV

After I won Air Ball Sokka was breathing dramatically so it made me laugh hard. He sounded like Appa with his bad breath in the mornings. I get up from laughing and have a look around. I walked over to the airbending training area and found a sea of bones. I stop and stare at them. They were the monks because of their clothes they must have been. I then look over t my right and saw a skeleton that caught my eye. It had the air temple clothing on it, but it have something on his neck too. It was a necklace around it’s neck. One from me that had the air sign on it with beads as a chain. That was Monk Gyatso’s I made that for his birthday before I ran away. Regret hit me like an arrow to my heart. Then hurt, grief, despair, the pain just keeps coming. I black out.

Katara POV

Aang was starting to lift into the air with his eyes and arrows glowing. I know he was upset because he saw all of the people of this land dead and he didn’t even said good bye, but only fair well or rest in piece. “Aang.” I called out to him. I guess he didn’t here me.

“Katara! Get away from him it’s not safe!” Sokka yells trying to get his voice over the wind. I ignore him and continue to call him.

“Aang I know your hurt and you should be, but it won’t bring them back trust me. Is this what your friends wanted you to do? Did they want you to grieve them and not think about your future. They will always be with you in spirit and mind. Don’t forget that!” He lowers himself to the ground and his body stopped glowing. I embrace him in a hug.

“Thank you.” He says. I hug him for as long as he needs and we break apart. Then he shivers a little and starts to look around. “Aang what is it?” I ask.

Aang POV

Suddenly a familiar feeling came over me that made me shiver. “Aang, what is it?” Katara asked me.

“Something is here. Somehow it feels like I felt it before. She turns her head to the side as if wanting me to explain more, but I would want to know myself. I walk torards the feeling and the others follow me. It took me five minutes to get to a huge piece Of lava shaped in a sphere.

“You dragged us to a rock? Did you leave something in there?” Sokka asked bored. I simply shook my head and headed torwards it. I hit the lava with my air bending and it breakes apart with ease. Then there was frozen layer under the lava. “Serriously what is with you guys and frozen cucoons. can’t you sleep in a hammock.” Sokka says. I was wondering what her ment by ′ you guys’ until I saw a body in the sphere with a bison and a lemmer in tin the person’s hands.

“Katara, can you melt that please?” I ask. She did what I asked and melted the ice and there was nothing, but steam coming out. I saw a girl curled up in a ball on the floor. But, she looked familiar, why. Then, my heart started to pump faster and faster. What is going on? My blood felt like it was burning me from the inside out. I clutch my chest as I fall to me knees. Katara tried to help me, but there was nothing she could do cause there was no wound to heal. On my heads and knees I hear a screem next to me. It was the girl. She was screeming like I was. The pain grew and grew till my whole body started to ache with pain. I was flouting in the air going into the Avatar state, but before I went out I saw the girl glowing. Then I black out.

Sokka POV

The girl and Aang lifted high in the air, both glowing. Who was that girl? And I wonder if her lemmer tast any good. I lick my lips.

Liana POV

A voice sneaked into my head. It was a man’s voice. It said,“You and the Avatar are one of the same. You will depend on each other and you should never separate. If one seperates from the other the world will me at stake.”

“B-” I start, but was interrupted by another voice who sounded familiar some how.

“But, who is this other peron that is the same as me?” the boy asked

“You are closer than you think. You knew each other back in your childhood, but you two lived in sepreate places. Once you two untight your bond, no one can stop you from changing the world.”

" So, what do you wean ‘unight your bond’?” I ask now cutting the boy off.

“You know. Get married and make love. You know. You have to do this before the world comes to an end. This will make your bond definit and make each other stronger.” the man said. I say nothing in shock.

“So what your saying I will be married to Liana?”

“Yes, eventually you will have to if you want more strength to defeat your enemy. It is time for you to go now. Your friends are waiting for you.” Light appeared before me and there was a guy with my lemmer in his hand about to eat him whole.

“Excuse me, but umm that’s kind of my lemmer so can you not eat him please.” I say to the boy. He slowly gave Kino in my arms. I laugh as I hold him again. “I’m so glad to actually feel your warmth finally.” I cheer hopping in a circle.

“Liana!!!!!!!!!!” someone yelled. The boy in the dream. Then a person I knew too well came running up to me.

“Aang!!! Is that y-” I was cut off by him hugging me tight. I collapse in his arms as I feel his strength again and the sound of his heart beat.

I lift out of his arms and look at him teary eyed. I get up fast and pump me fist in the air. Well since I’m awake and can move now I would like to see Monk Gyatso.” Aang looked at me with sad eyes.

“H-hey Lia-” I cut him off. (Not on purpose okay people.)

“Oh, I know it has been a month since I seen him last, but don’t worry. I will apologize and have some of his mystery tea.” I say yawning. Running to the training yard because Monk Gyatso has always been there if I needed to find him. Footsteps follow me as I run. “I bet ya I’ll get there, Aang.” I say to him firing up my air scooter. I stopped when I saw bones. I walk over to a skeleton
