Chapter 1

Chad Hunter’s POV

“Da Da!” My heart squirmed in joy when I heard my sweet little angel blabbered in my arms. This moment was by far the most precious in my life other than the day I married the love of my life - Dorris.

Just as I was basking in the surreal blissfulness of fatherhood, a loud thud brought me back to reality and a wave of pain over my chest followed through. I woke up with my body flat against the cold marble floor.

I rubbed my sleepy eyes awake as I picked myself up from the floor, a recurring episode that I faced almost every other night ever since Dorris was pregnant. I have been kicked off my bed whenever her cramp kicks in.

“Awww...!” Dorris squirmed in pain as she suffers yet another episode of leg cramp.

“Honey! Are you okay?” I scurried over to her side and massaged her legs to relieve her pain. Even though her late-night cramps were a familiar occurrence, it still hurts me to see her in such pain because I love her so much.

“What...do you think...?” She broke into tears of pain as she gritted.

“Alright, honey, don’t worry, just relax...” I quickly coaxed Dorris and continued to massage her legs before she gets into her feisty mode.

“Are you feeling better?” I asked her.

She puffed out a sigh of relief and replied restlessly, “Yes... much better. Thank you...”

I placed her legs back onto the bed carefully and rubbed her shoulder in my embrace to comfort her, “You don’t have to say thank you, it’s what I should do as your husband.”

“But I’m sorry for kicking you off the bed again, I didn’t mean it, I just couldn’t control myself...” Dorris said guiltily.

I gave her a peck at her forehead and comforted her, “Hey, don’t worry honey, it’s nothing compared to the discomfort that you have to go through in this pregnancy.”

She broke into a wide smile but not for long when she winced at the sudden kick in her tummy, “Ouch...“.

“Is Max kicking you again?” I asked worriedly.

“Yea...” She gritted as she rubbed her belly to ease the discomfort.

I laid the side of my head against her belly and tried to do a daddy talk with our son, “Max, papi is going to spank your buttock when you come out if you don’t behave yourself in there.”

However, what ensued after the conversation was a kick against my head.

“Ouch!” Dorris shouted and pulled my ear.

“Aww...aww...let go honey!” I pleaded.

“That’s for your stupidity! What kind of daddy talk was that?! Are u trying to get Max to kick me more often?” Dorris snapped.

I rubbed my ear and rebutted in mutters, “Well, I can’t help that he takes after your feistiness...”

“What did you just said?” Dorris gave me a deadpan look.

“Oh... nothing... nothing at all,” I defended in a flustered manner.

Luciano warned me about how temperamental a pregnant woman can be, I would be digging my own grave if I were to agitate Dorris at this moment.

“It better be nothing...” She replied and then she went back to sleep turning her back against me.

Despite it all, I couldn’t help but smile at the fact that Dorris is my wife and the woman I loved so deeply is carrying my child. The thought of this stirred a delicious sensation down my groin. I cuddled up against her back and rubbed her belly.

“Just go to sleep...” Dorris said annoyingly in a sluggish tone.

“I’m sorry, honey.” I apologised for our son’s kick earlier on.

I snuggled up against her face and smooched down her neck. She chuckled, “Stop it, Chad! Your stubbles are ticklish!”

Then I whispered by her ears, “Maybe, I should send my submarine to probe on Max?”

She stared straight into my eyes, but I continued to push my luck, “It helps to reduce pain, studies have shown that orgasm releases oxytocin, which helps to increase pain tolerance by 74%.”

Dorris flung a pillow straight into my face and then she pinned me down as she crawled over me and whispered by my ear in a sultry manner, “Alright, nerd, you win.”

Now, that’s my wife, Dorris.
