"Marvelous book! A funny, action-packed fantasy adventure! I rated the grammar, etc., as 5stars even though there were instances when a word is missing from common phrases. Proof reading must be done more thoroughly. That's the only criticism I have. I love the characters and can't wait to read the sequel. Very talented author! 👏👏👏"

"This is one of my go to comfort books. The world building is incredible and the characters are dynamic. I love that Everna is a fully fleshed character who also seems like a friend, and one you want to have. This is an incredible piece of literature that I would highly recommend anyone who devours fantasy to read. "

"I really enjoyed this epic book. The characters were well defined and captivating. I did get confused between who the shadowguard were and who the shroud were, I think that was intentional and well done Grammer was excellent but there were some pesky typos and misspellings. Not enough to stop the flow of the story. I hope there is a sequel to experience her physical and sorcery training. She is amazing. Of all the characters, I only trust her. She has a pure heart."
Engaging and Endearing
"Everna is a great character. She's clever, willful, and flawed. She's thrust into a situation that she truly lacks the resources to handle, but her pride makes her take dangerous risks. She's a seemingly insignificant pawn in a chess game she doesn't know how to understand, but the series is set up to have this pawn get promoted in the 8th rank and become a key piece. Shadowguard is exciting, tense and funny with likeable characters. Even the unlikeable characters are fun to dislike. There's plenty of sass, adventure and mystery. I'm looking forward to seeing where this story goes."
