Prologue
In the beginning, life and death co-existed peacefully.
Dura, the Goddess of life, gave birth to Esperia's mortal denizens and earned their favor. They worshiped her for this blessing and were living in tranquility. However, this stability was short-lived.
The God of death, Annih, flew into a jealous rage. Disappointed in the mortals, who forgot about him, he used his blood to create the Hypogeans. These Hypogeans plotted to overthrow Esperia.
Dura leads the mortals against the demonic forces. She became increasingly weak with the onslaught of the enemy. Nearing the end of her power, she split herself into seven artifacts and spread them across the land. Her last words were, "I have imprisoned the Hypogean. They will be free again. The land will be in your hands!"
Now many millennia later, the Hypogeans are free. They now lurk in the shadows of Esperia, poisoning the land of Dura. It is up to the heroes to stand up, fight and defend Esperia.
Would they be able to do it?
Really cool prologue it feels epic and sets up the world of Esperia perfectly! The mythology and tension between Dura and Annih pulled me in right away will the story follow one main hero, or will multiple heroes share the spotlight as the plot unfolds?
