How It Always Is

E

very year its the same. Holidays come around, cousins come home and here starts the party.

Hi, I’m 16 year old Aleksandra. I’m a girl whose life has always been almost the same - the same people, the same places, the same kind of fun - pretty much everything had been the same since I was born.

But this year I wanted to make it different. It had to be different. I took an oath that I will change this year’s me.

This year I convinced everyone to enjoy our holidays in a beach resort. We decided to go to a family friend’s resort. The resort is located in an deserted island. Yes, they are really rich that they own the island. The reason why we call it a resort is because it actually is that huge. the house has a grand driveway. the front door id fancier than that of castles. The living room is huge enough for a whole masquerade party. It has rooms for all of us and more. From the balconies you can see the beach. The beach is so blue and unlike the other trashy beaches. If the beach is not enough there is also a huge pool in the house’s yard.

We’ve families have known each other for a long time. The Finn’s have a son about three years older than me. His name is Richard.

Richard Finn is a 19 year old guy. He is more than 6 feet tall. He has brown shaggy hair and ocean blue eyes. He has a clean shaven face revealing his soft medium heart lips. He is a guy who likes to work out but not too much. He looks cold-hearted on the outside but is really nice to his family and friends. He was really smart too. But not to me.

Scott is Richard’s younger brother. Scott is a year older than me while Steve is two years older. Steve is my biological brother.

I didn’t like him much. He used to bully me back then. But you also couldn’t say that I hated him. He was the one who’d rescue me every time from trouble.

Like this one time, I was 5 years old and my brothers Scott and Steve took me out to play. They left me to play in the sand and went to collect different sea creatures like crabs and other shellfish nearby. Richard hadn’t come with us. But later he came to call us to have some lunch. That is when he noticed me playing on my own. He went to look for my brothers. Within ten minutes he came back running after hearing me scream. When he got closer he found me surrounded by a bunch of hungry wild dogs. I couldn’t move from there. he used his brains quickly an thought of an idea. he took the crabs my other brothers had collected and threw them at a distance from the dogs. as the dogs went to eat the crabs he quickly grabbed me from there and took me home. The one fact I hate is that Richard was the one who saved me while my brothers Scott and Steve just stood there watching. I'm guessing they were too shocked o do anything or they couldn't think of an idea. Being the oldest Richard scolded my brothers hoping they wont do it again. So basically we have a love-hate relationship.
