Introducing "The Girl Who Lived"

My name is Harriet Janet potter and I’m the girl who lived. I honestly do not understand how what I did was possible but wizarding Britain does not see it that way. I grew up in the world of muggles until I turned eleven, then I was thrust into a world I knew nothing about. Not only was I unaware of the Wizarding world but the fact that I can do magic. I got a literal crash course in being a witch and a very famous one at that.

Let’s skip ahead, shall we...

My first year at Hogwarts was interesting. The train ride was uneventful because I was able to find a car that was empty. I sat alone the whole way to Hogwarts. Upon arrival 1st years were separated from the older years. We rode in a boat that moved across a lake that had a ginormous squid, and the castle was breathtaking. The sorting was uncomfortable but went by quickly. I had learned that in-house unity is okay but outer-house unity is frowned upon. Then when Halloween rolled around a troll was let into the school and it made its way through the dungeon to the girl’s bathroom. Of course, I had to see it for myself and help save a fellow student. Got in trouble but made a new friend. That pretty much sums up my first year at Hogwarts.

Second-year was more interesting, to say the least. Turns out the myth about the Chamber of Secrets wasn’t really a myth. Let’s just say I found a few interesting things. The headmaster was not pleased. Don’t get me started on the elf I had met. Let’s not forget about facing fluffy the three-headed dog.

Third-year started okay. I found out that a convict escaped the most secure Wizarding prison and that he is my godfather Sirius black. That information was kept from me. After finding that out I find that my teacher is a werewolf who knew my parents really well. The murderer that killed my parents has been living in my house for the past few years. Then I almost lose my soul to a dementor.

That brings us to now, my fourth year at this lovely school. I know I didn’t mention everything about my other years here but a girl gotta have some mystery. Plus it will keep you all wondering about what I left out.

Moving on, this year was going great. No one trying to kill me, my friends are all alive and healthy, no crazy rumors about me thus far. Overall, a great start to my year. We were notified that there was going to be a tournament and Hogwarts was chosen to host it. Three schools were going to participate and Hogwarts was one. The two others were going to be arriving in a few days and we are expected to greet them with Hogwarts hospitality. Basically, we welcome them to the school. The choosing of the champions was going to be done on Halloween. Let’s say I knew the great luck I’ve been having just ran out. Now there are four champions for three schools.

I have to go now the first task is about to start, I hope to see you all in the stands. Maybe I will survive this with minimal damage done to me. Wish me luck, I’m gonna sure need it.
