I'LL LOVE HER FOREVER❤

This story is about an 87 year old man whose wife died since he was 42.

I stared at the black and white picture of a woman on the wall, my grandpa always looks at it and smiles so i was curious.

"Tell me about her", I said and he began without hesitation.

"She was short and slender, her dark brown hair fell over her shoulders. Her chestnut brown eyes always sparkled as she stared at me. I fell for her at first sight. She always had a smile plastered on her face. She was a happy soul some would say, but they never knew what great sadness was behind those bright cheerful gestures. She hid her true feelings from everyone because she was afraid they would judge her and take advantage of her.

The first time i met her she was walking on the seawall alone. Her brown hair shined in the sun looking almost golden brown and she stared at sea smiling and looking amazed. Right then I walked up to her and she looked at me confused as my gaze stayed on her heavenly, beautiful face. She said "I'm sorry, do you need something? Do I know you?". My heart exploded at the sound of her voice, she made me feel like I was dancing on clouds. I know it sounds crazy but it's true. I've never felt so alive. I replied to her saying "I've found my angel". She was confused but still smiling brightly as she asked what I meant and I told her "I'm going to marry you". She laughed at me then said "if this was meant to be, we'll meet again", and she left without saying another word. Two days later, after work, I went to a restaurant my friends and I usually went to. I was meeting an old friend from highschool. I walked in and took a seat at the window, a few moments later my friend walked in, I waved to him and he made his way over, we greeted each other and sat talking and reminiscing about old times.

"So you got a girl yet?" He asked.

"No Ben, but I met a beauty", I replied.

"What's her name?" He asked again.

"I don't know", I said to him remembering how pretty she looked.

"Man you're still a dreamer", he said tapping the table.

"I may be a dreamer but at least it's a good thing", I say to him as he furrowed his brow.

"Well do you have a way to contact her at least?" He asked again.

"No", I said to him as he got annoyed by my responses.

"Man why? Why didn't you ask her ?" He asked in a loud tone.

I laughed and told him what she said and he said "Dude... that girl must've said that because she knows that she's never gonna run into you again".

"I don't care, if it never happens then it just shows it wasn't meant to be but if it does then it's a match made in heaven", I said to him seeing her walk to me and smiling.

"Hi", I said to her.

"Dude what's wrong with you?" Ben asked as he waved his hand in front my face.

Looks like I was dreaming.

I saw her again. She walked through the door wearing a green dress, she looked stunning and had a smile plastered across that beautiful face of hers. I stared at her until I was hit behind the head.

Ben was leaning over the table that stood between the two of us with his left hand behind my head.

"Why did you do that?" I asked.

"Because you wouldn't listen to me", he replied then looked at a table a short distance away from us. He asked if I saw how pretty the 3 girls that sat there looked.

I smiled. Then I realized he just said three. Which means I'm not dreaming. She's really here.

I got up immediately and walked over to her table, the two girls accompanying her stared at me confused. She turned to face me and was shocked. I smiled at her saying "it was meant to be".

She blushed and from then on we started dating. She was mine. We got married a year after and got five kids...as you know...your grandmother was one of them".

"I know grandpa", I say answering him.

He laughed and continued "she was possessed somehow but I never believed in that kinda stuff so when I decided to accept it, it was too late. She was already gone, she left me all alone in the world. But I still love her and I always will. She may have left the world but she still lives in my heart".

"What was her name grandpa?" I asked curiously.

"Her name was Lily", he answered smiling.

The woman he described was my great grandma that I obviously never met. I was always obsessed with the name 'Lily' and never knew that it was the name of my great grandma until grandpa told me. He says that I remind him of her because I act exactly like her and my hair and eyes are exactly like hers. 😄
