deck days and nights
On this deck we all became one
Summers in tents, all four content
On backs we lay, twinkling stars
On full display
Laughter echoed through the trees
Joyful tears, summer breeze
So dark, we could only see, with our ears, you plus three
Yummy dinners we all shared "thanks for dinner, mom"
We thought you cared, but clearly, sadly, we were wrong
So, even when we are taken back to joyful deck days, snacks sugary
A pain much stronger than the eye can see, destroyed our lives, eternally
But, truth is not always what we say, and lies spoken don't go away
And, something dies inside
