Spectacular
"I realise I hadn't written a review for this one when I finished. I just ploughed straight into the next one. Out of the 4 book series, this one has to be my favourite. It had literally everything: the growing relationship between Julius and Bera, new friendships, beautiful ballroom scenes, hilarious friendships and dialogues, as well as amazing political intrigue, building mystery, adrenaline pumping battle sequences, and the reality of loss in a world of war. It is fascinating to watch how Bera comes to grips with her new reality in pre-Shattering Sol, and for her to come face to face with Julius in this time era. Here, we see a different side to him, and begin to build and uncover what happened in the past to amount to the current day present we were originally introduced to in book 1. Honestly this is such a beautiful book and the series as a whole is just . . . utterly spectacular. The bonds of friendships are so powerful that you feel for them as if they were real. You root for the characters in ways you just don't experience in most books. I strongly recommend this series to anyone who hasn't tried it yet. Because you'll be in for a ride and experience of a lifetime. "
Asel's Will
"I have only completed the 2nd book in this series and I'm hooked. The author has created a world that is surreal. I've only read one other author on this app that completely sends you into a new dimension! This story so far has serious depth, the plot is beyond intriguing, the characters - all of them, regardless if they are good or bad - have life to them. You care deeply for them, or hate them just as deeply. I already know this series is going to make me cry. I feel it in my bones. The romance is a slow burner but my goodness is it so intense. This is easily so far in my top 3 favorite reads on this app. Thank you for sharing. On to book 3! "

"Book 2 begins straight off from where things ended in book 1. It doesn't beat about the bush, that's for sure, and I'm grateful! Book 2 was exciting beyond compare. Here is where we begin to learn what really happened in the Age before the Shattering began, and it was exquisitely interesting and insightful to see all the Archangels together before the world was broken and they all grew to hate each other. As a result, the main question this series asks is 'what happened between then and now?' In this book we get a perfect balance of perspectives between Julius and Beralin as we follow them through history. Poor Beralin struggles to find her place in this new world order and to forge new allies, while Julius reveals to be an outstandingly powerful man who played a massive role in the politics and shaping of pre-Shattering Sol. This was a delicious and exciting book beyond compare and it makes me giddy just to think and reflect on it, because I have never read anything quite like it. The battle-scenes were superbly written, and the relationships between all the characters were powerfully relatable. The author has stupendous expertise when it comes to writing emotions, for it has the reader feeling for the characters as strongly as you would to your dearest in reality. I cannot recommend this book enough. It is an epic in the crafting. I implore readers to give this series a go, because if you stick with it, it will take you on an experience and journey unlike anything ever before. This writer is a master of storytelling."
Asel's Will
"The second book in the Asel series is aptly named for what transpires in it. The mythical God Asel plays with lives and his influence transports Bera -Our female lead- to where she will finally see through her blinds. Knowledge can be a curse and the world is an confusing place. Through the book we witness characters trying to come to terms with the world around them and snippets from the first book start to make sense. This book, which is the longest out of all the 4 books in the series introduces us to the world of Archangels and Sundryl's identity is finally she'd light on. There are answers and even more questions raised in this action packed books with a decent helping of heart rending romances and powers beyond Mortal comprehension. A must read! "

"Asel's will. Wow, the title goes perfectly in line with the story. It was Asel's will to send Beralin back in time to learn her purpose. To understand how and why she was capable of doing what only Archangels could do (not all of them for that matter). The second books further entails the beginning of the relationship between Julius and Beralin. A slow burn which brought a smile on my face when they confessed their feelings for each other😍. A strong bond of mutual trust and understanding. A high fantasy, adventurous and mysterious book which drew me in like no other. An amazing story, lovely characters with unique personalities and names 😍. The mystery, the twists and turns in this story managed to surpass my high expectations and be nothing like I expected. I can't wait to see more of what Asel has in store for Beralin and Julius and to see how their relationship will grow to another level. Best book ever ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
Best book I’ve read this year
"10/10 for anyone that likes adventure/sci-fi fantasy/ with some (possible) romance. Deep characters, great plot, painted imagery… it will pull you in. "
