Second Coin Toss

The first movement of my thumb

Set the world in motion

Since will has forsaken me

Fate must be my mistress.

With one decision that must shape

A life - but whose?

It does not matter!

Let steel and hammer be the judge

As life is tossed in ether,

And falls back down.

But Fate has picked the coin again

And tossed it back -

For a second time

Displeased by outcome not her own

For I have chosen how

The metal is to hit the floor.

The second movement of my hand

Sets back the gears on time

What Fate has willed, I have undone

And flipped a life around.
