Klay POV
It’s about to be the start of the season therefore it’s Ayesha and Steph’s annual bbq/party for the team and staff. I guess it’s a good idea because of the newbies like Kevin but I’m just here for the food. Of course, Hannah isn’t here because anything basketball related she bails. Yes, she doesn’t come to games or even watch from home. I don’t care though cause she serves her purpose and I’m okay with the way our relationship is. Not everyone wants to be Ayesha and Steph.
Anyway, I’m eating and trying not to choke as Dray and Kevin are talking. Turns out Kevin is a cool and funny guy. Apparently, he is Dray new best friend and Dray says that Kevin is the chocolate version of Steph and me. Which is what he is saying now.

We turn as a new voice speaks which belongs to a short, brown woman.

“I have no idea probably pregnant women. My name is Eve.
We all say hi and then continue to brainstorm. At one point in the conservation, Eve tells us she is a new friend of Ayesha. She works at Food Network and is a food blogger. Of course, Dray and Kevin flirt with her while I laugh at them. She goes to the bathroom which leaves us to ourselves.

Steph comes over to us

“She told Ayesha and me that you are her favorite player. She likes that you seem reserved and quiet because that means you low key freaky.

I’m walking on the beach while Rocco runs around and plays in the water. I notice some hot women in barely there bathing suits and I go to get their numbers. I turn back to the water and notice Rocco is gone. I start to call him but he doesn’t come running. I walk further down the beach and find him getting petted by some woman.

He looks up but doesn’t come near me.

“Oh, yea. Are you stalking me?

“I love the beach and Ayesha recommends this beach to visit. I didn’t know you come here.

She gets up which makes Rocco whine.
“I’m sorry. It’s just Steph told me that I’m your celebrity crush
“So that equals that I’m going to stalk you now. You conceited bastard.
I roll my eyes
“This is why I don’t talk to women like you.

She glares at me but I don’t care.
“A loud mouth black woman is one day going to be the only one that is going to have your back, the only one that will fight for you and you ain’t going to know what to do.

“Of course. You need me to cause obviously, these little blonde airheads are feeling your head with fucking nonsense. I notice how you look at Steph and Ayesha with envious eyes. You secretly want a woman that is going to support you and make you a better man but you ain’t ready for that. But don’t worry I will be there when you are. I will be here to check on you when you're being a spoiled ass when you lose/win a game, or when you just want to be angry and say disrespectful shit to me. I’m not going anywhere so you just going to have to enjoy seeing my face.

I start walking and Rocco licks Eve's hand and then follows behind me
