Chapter 1
Have you ever gone on a long and hard trip and wanted to return home but could not? Well, this is my story of how I went on a long and hard adventure alone without my family. Hi, I’m Lilly and I’m 8 years old. I ran away from my home on July 3rd. You may be asking why I ran away from home. I never go to explore outside. So when I saw the door open as anyone would I went outside.
When I when out the front door my paws hit the cold grass. The dew-covered grass covered my paws. When I looked up I saw this bright yellow ball that hurt when I looked at it but I wanted to look at it more. But as the saying goes curiosity killed the cat. Although I did not die I got lost. I walked out past the dew-covered grass I jumped over this white gate it reminded me of the gate mom used to try and keep me out of the kitchen. When my paws hit the hot asphalt my paws felt like they were burning. I quickly ran into the grass. As my paws were cooling down I looked around. A car zooming past made me want to go back home but as I was paying attention to the cars going past I got lost. I was looking around frantically. But nothing to avail. I went walking in the alleyway when another cat walked past me. I wondered to myself if that cat when through the same stuff as me. As all of this was happing I was wondering where was my family and where was my house. As all of this was happing I has to find a place to sleep.
While walking around I found a box big enough that I fit in it. I was cold and uncomfortable because the box was wet. I felt lonely no family no other animals to keep me company. But the next day I woke up and I was moved a human must have moved me. I had no clue where I was but it was then that I saw something familiar. My home I ran up to the door and mowed nothing happened. Scared and scarce then it happen my mom opened the door and she hinged me. I now never want to go outside agin.
