Underwater

Have you ever wanted to drown out the noise ? Go under and listen to the echoes of the waves crashing against the shore ? When your under the surface do you want to take a breath and relax and let things be ? Even though you could drown , even though it could take your life away . Just for a moment you'd forget the memories , the pain , the weight that holds you down everyday . The things you think keep you safe ? Just for a moment , tucked away in your own safe space .

Take in the water of your daily life and hope not to be drown in the chaos . The pressure of the waves pushing you further away . Hoping to come to the surface not being dragged down by the weight , wishing to not stumble backwards when your walking out . To have the strength not to fall down . When the sin of the sun burns your skin , you're waiting for when you cant feel the sting of the pain .

Under the water you see the murky greens and crystal blues . You see the rocks that line the bottom and the life inside that makes an ecosystem . Thriving , rushing , living each day . The heart of the waves thudding against the shore . The voice of the wind whistling by to tell you that you're okay . The birds in the background calling out . A place that feels like home , is just a beach on a sunny day .

When we retreat to that beach to that safe space . The place we can finally breathe , and let our frustrations fade away . Throw a rock and watch as the water repels the negative force bounce off of the surface . Further and further away . But then the water finally caves . And the rock sinks to the bottom and that is where it lay . Until one day things shift and bring it to a new place still sunken to the bottom , away from the surface . Drifting around . Kind of like the pain we hold onto . Sitting at the bottom until something sweeps it up and brings it to a new place within us . Slowly shifting each day . Until we break. _SB_

Tatouie: There wasn’t anything I didn’t like except maybe more of a finality to the European Charter that was up to no good. I feel like they wouldn’t have left so quietly. Otherwise loved the story, great rhythm can’t wait to read more books.

Obsidian: He's hilarious. Like, actually. I loved it. You're writing style is great, although you could do with a few less murmurs and mutters. I know it sounds critical, but I have the same problem and I hate it. Overall, it was one of the best stories I've read on here so far. I liked it better than those M...
