Prologue
I was looking at her disappearing figure nervous to confess my true feelings for her.
I know it's high time I do this, but something in me isn't ready to take a rejection even when my heart feels that probably she too have the same feelings like I do.
I took a deep breath trying to relax my nerves and took long strides reaching her and held her wrist in my hand stopping her in mid way.
She looked back into my eyes and that mere eye contact had already sent goosebumps down my body that I din't know if I can really do this now.
"Vivaan?", She softly called out my name when I seem to be lost in her big black orbs
"Ah.. yeah.. I..", I tried to speak but looks like my vocals died within
"You wanna say something?", She asked completely facing me
I closed my eyes determined to tell it out whatever the consequences are, I opened my eyes and slowly took her other hand in mine while she looked at me shocked probably not understanding what I'm upto.
Do it Vivaan, you can do it!
"Manvi", I softly called out her name to which she nodded asking me to continue
"I.. I have something to tell you.. which I'm.. I'm feeling for quite a long time now", I said not meeting her eyes
"Vivaan, look into my eyes and speak.. what is it?", She asked and I could sence her curiosity
"I don't know how and when this happened but I have been strangely feeling good with you.. as in I don't know Manvi.. I'm just happy being next to you, your presence makes me happy..
With you, I don't feel I'm an orphan.. I feel as if I also have a family, like I have you with me.. I don't know what you feel about me but for me, whatever is between us is more than friendship Manvi.. it's definitely not just friendship for me.
I wanna have a future with you, I wanna marry you and have kids with you, I wanna grow old with you.. I Love You Manvi, I really do.. will you marry me?", I asked her finally when a smile lingered on my face all the time I spoke about her looking straight into her eyes
I was trying to read her face which was devoid of any expression and this moment I started to feel sweat beads forming on my forehead when I see her staring at me silently.
I don't know if what I did was right or no, or I don't know if I was too early to take this step.. but I felt I could no longer keep this pure emotion within me.
"Manvi", I softly called her
She slowly took her hands back from my hands that my heart started beating fast at the slightest possibility of getting rejected.
I'm not scared of rejections, but now if she say a no to me then I don't see a reason to live either.
In the few months we have known eachother she filled the void in my heart which always craved for a family ever since I know the world.. after giving my heart to her, after considering her as my only family and dreaming to build a family with her.. I could no longer resist if she doesn't feel the same for me.
Just don't say no Manvi.
"Vivaan", She called me softly looking aside
I took a deep breath and made her look at me with her chin.
"It's okay if it's a no Manvi, I can.. I can wait for you", I said when although I know it's not okay for me
"There's something you need to know about me Vivaan", She said and I wondered what could it be
