The Introduction
Vil·lain (noun)
1. (in a film, novel, or play) a character whose evil actions or motives are important to the plot. “I have played more good guys than villains”
How do you know what side is good, and bad? How do I know when I crossed the line and I’m the villain now? How do you know you’re on the good side? And how am I supposed to know that I’m on the bad side if my point of vue, I’m doing the right thing?
Well, you’ll be seeing this cruel story from my point of view. To set this tale, i’ll need to explain a few things about my realm.
There are two realms. The human realm and the grim realm. The human realm is where you probably are at the moment. The grim realm, it isn’t exactly a copy of the human realm, but it has some type of similarities. Trees, plants, houses, foods, animals. But there’s one thing that makes this world extremely different from the human realm.
Monsters and Magic.
Monsters, beasts, freaks, whatever you want to call them, are corrupted witches and wizards. Either they were cursed, or used dark magic, anything really. Sometimes these monsters are just born, in a natural way.
Monster hunters are the most respected people in all of the Grim Realm. They serve the kingdom of Vrines, also known as the beast slayer kingdom. Ruled by the young Queen Adalyn, one of the most powerful witches out there, she possesses the most powerful relics in the realm. The blood shed Gem.
That leads me to my next topic to explain to you. Gems, gems are powerful crystals that let us be able to use magic. They are found in Willow trees, in the deep core of them.
The rarest Gem are Vesaxes. Vesaxes are attracted to pure souls, people with good intentions. But, if the owner of the Gem gets a change of heart, it can turn into a Grim Gem, also known as the Dark Magic Gem. It’s almost impossible for somebody to ever corrupt their Vesaxes, it’s also very hated among the community, since Vesaxes are a sign of a pure Gem, a corrupted one means that you’re a bad person.
But I should elaborate about the Grim Gems, they are usually used for Dark Magic. Dark Magic is usually used to corrupt Witches and Wizards, as well as curse them. Curses can vary on multiple things, yes, it does do the basic magic, like lighting a fire, or creating a protection spell.
Secondly, Solar Gems. They become extremely powerful during the night, Solar Gems have a beautiful purple and black color, matching the galaxy and stars. Solar Gems are mostly used for creation spells, to explain better, transformation spells. Making a bit of grass turn into a flower, maybe making a hat turn into a ball.
Sadly, these are more illusion spells. So after a while it’s bound to turn back into its true form. Many monster hunters have Solar Gems, it’s easier to kill monsters that way, creating clones to confuse them, even making monsters themselves, scaring the monster.
After Solar Gems there are Blood Emeralds, these originated from the Human Realm, their green color, with all types of shapes. But, what makes a Blood Emerald so special, is that when you get this Gem, you are blood bound to it. It allows only you to use the Emerald.
And finally, Quwentle Gems. These Gems are invincible, making them pretty common. Even if they aren’t rare, they are still powerful Gems. Quwentle Gems have a glowing yellow color.
Vesaxes Grim Gems, Solar, Blood Emeralds, Quewentle Gems, are the five main Gems. Although there are relic Gems as well, as I already mentioned, the Blood Shed Gem is one of them, afterwards there is Pitchel Gem, a pitch black gem, the darkest gem to be found. And so many others, but those two are the only important ones.
Onto the next topic, many of us in the grim realm are elves, but some of us have demon-ish looks, horns, three eyes, 3 arms, you name it. Humans don’t exist here, well, we all know about the existence of humans, but none of us ever really seen a human before.
With all of this messy context out of the way, we can finally start our story… Well MY story, your sorry ass is reading a fantasy book hoping that it can entertain your pathetic life.
