She

If God was a woman, there would be no hell-

Lorde, save me, take me to the well.

They will not partake in Vengeance, he won’t steal the toy, integrity rules, long live righteousness!

There’s a river running deep inside, none can subside,

I cannot battle life’s current.

I got my pocket of change, some flower, ready to listen-

If God was a woman, hatred would melt.

There’s a cold war brewing, blood spewing into the cracked veins of the streets, words sinking into skin, fanging protruding into hope, shoving cowering masks onto hopeful countenances.

There’s a gurgling flood inside us,

Choking despair.

Listen to her damn it!

I got money like the kernel’s got chicken, pockets of change, some flowers, a little more faith, what’s one more prayer?

If God was a woman, there would be no hell

Sound the bell, there should be no hell

Take me to the well, tell me until I swell, why can’t we be doves?

I need a spell, take me to the well, I got a pocket full of coins

If God was a woman

Spirits would thrive eternally, the world would only know Peace.

Amen.
