"Superbly written. Anyone who's looking for a fresh and new high fantasy, this is the one. Each character serves a unique purpose, with difficult and testing trials as they adventure throughout the incredibly well-created and thought out universe of the story. They are easily relatable, for their emotions and ambitions are conveyed through the writer's skill with clarity and expertise. Action scenes are wonderfully vivid and absolutely thrilling to read. Again, it is thanks to the writer's skill in his gift for writing. It is as if I am in the world itself, witnessing the great powers at work before my very eyes. So few stories and writers can convey this through their words, but this is one of them. There is a magnificent sense of grandeur when reading this story, one where you feel like you are a part of something greater than yourself; a world of ancient histories, high concepts, of higher powers, politics, war, and explosive powers commanded from the greatest generals, to the lowest prisoners. Fantastical magics make no distinguish between ranks, hence why this series is so exciting, and I cannot wait to see where this ends up going. My standards of chosen books/stories are very critical these days, primarily just because I don't have the time like I used to. I only follow 4 authors now; Brandon Sanderson, Tad Williams, Garth Nix, and Tolkien of course. But The Raging Storm series is one which ticks all of my boxes and meets everything I am searching for in a good narrative. I highly recommend The Raging Storm to fantasy lovers out there. You won't be disappointed!"
