The college campus was busy as usual. Students walking around to get to their next classes. Some hanging out with friends in various places. Stereotypically, College is usually a time of youths life to make friends and live a fun life. This is how Min Yoongi was currently living. He walked down the campus hallways with his friend Namjoon.

"Oh my gosh that literature class is kicking my ass!" Yoongi groaned
Namjoon chuckles "At least it's only your literature class. Try being a fucking medical student"
"I don't know how you do it... why do you torture yourself"
Namjoon shrugs "It's hard now. But I think about how I could possibly be a doctor to cure cancer and help save lives. It's worth it in a long run"
Yoongi sighs "That's a big dream man. I respect your passion. But for me, i'm very close to wanting to drop out I swear"
"Ayyye you shouldn't drop out. Keep fighting, don't give up"
Yoongi just nodded his head. He heard his phone ding and so he got it from his pocket. It was a notification from his mother. She was telling him to come home. Yoongi tells Namjoon goodbye and walks home. He luckily doesn't live far from school, so he doesn't how to waste money on transportation. His family weren't very well off after all.
When Yoongi made it to his brick apartment building , he passed by the landlady on the way up to his apartment. The lady was just coming down and she gave Yoongi a glare and proceeded to walk down. Yoongi looked at her confused and was immediately scared that something happened. So he runs up the stairs and quickly gets his keys out.
Once he unlocked the door the state of his family's apartment was a wreck. The furniture was destroyed, holes were in the walls, windows were broken, all of their books and other miscellaneous of things were all over the floor. His father sat on his knees in shame facing his mother glaring down at him angrily.
"m-mom, dad? What...what the hell
happened in here?" Yoongi said walking over broken objects on the ground
"Your father here...he..." She had to take a deep breath to calm down "he fucking took out a large loan a few months ago with these loans sharks just so he can go and gamble! Didn't pay them on time and now they took it out on our apartment and threatened to kill us if we don't pay them! I AM BEYOND UPSET"
Yoongi and his father flinched at her tone. Mrs.Min was usually a very docile and calm
woman. She barely got angry, and it came to a shock to both men. Yoongi looked at his father also starting to get upset the more he's accepting the situation.
"Is this true dad? Did you really take money out just for gambling?"
"I-I-I promised to pay them back. I was supposed to win this upcoming game and I got tricked! They cheated for sure, but they tricked me! The prize money was big t—"
"Are you stupid!" Yoongi said now frowning "Why would you get yourself involved with bad people, you can put your life and moms life in danger!"
"I-I wasn't going to do it anymo—"
A slap filled the room. His father looked at his wife in shock with a red mark on his fair skin. Mrs.Min had slapped her husband and tears filled her eyes. She ran off to the bedroom and the door slammed making Mr.Min flinch.
"S-Son please..."
"Don't talk to me" Yoongi said and ran after his mother
He opened the door to his parents bedroom and it was also trashed. They use to have a bed but now it was just their mattress on the floor. Clothes were thrown all over the place. Some clothes were even ripped. Mrs. Min sat on the now floored mattress and cried into her knees. Yoongi immediately sits by his mother's side and hugs her.
"why did I get married Yoongi-ah, why did I have to marry a man like your father" She sobs
"Shh mom it's okay, sometimes people do make mistakes. Dad is a complete fucking idiot for sure, i'm also upset. But, it's the end of the world. I'm happy that at least you two are alive" Yoongi said threading his fingers through her hair
She looked up at him and gave a sad smile "You're so sweet. My baby boy is so sweet. But i'm sorry to you. Because now... we don't have money. We were already struggling... but now it's worse"
"We can get through this, we will find a way" Yoongi said starting to get emotional
She suddenly looked at him shaking in fear "You don't understand our family is over. I would take you and leave but... they said they would track you, me, and your dad down if we ever ran away. I'm so scared Yoongi-ah"
Yoongi looked at her wide eyed. He knew that things were going down hill from here.
