A girl sat, bored on her school bus. She had forgotten to pack her book into her backpack, and because she was bored, she was now studying people that walked past her window. A woman dressed in a yellow jacket jogged past. A different woman down the street who was also wearing a yellow jacket, was locking her door. A man in blue jeans was walking his dog down the street. Another man was also wearing blue jeans. The girl began to grow nervous, looking away from the window, playing with a basketball she was bringing to school, and picking lint off her yellow shorts. After a few minutes, curiosity overtook her again, and she raised her head towards the window again. The street was almost deserted, there was only a girl around her age, playing with a basketball. The girl on the bus shifted nervously in her vinyl seat. She dared herself to look at the outfit of the girl outside. Yellow shorts, pink t-shirt, black and white converse. The girl began to hyperventilate, pinching herself multiple times. She fought with herself, trying to decide whether or not she should examine the girl's face. A little peek, she thought, just a little one. She looked up again. The girl had stopped shooting hoops and began staring at the bus. The face was familiar. The girl had her face! The girl outside tilted her head creepily, examining the girl on the bus. She began to walk towards the bus. The girl on the bus screamed.
