Chapter 1
Hayley stood there looking around her apartment making sure she had everything she wanted to take with her. She was leaving town to start a new life away from the city. She contacted a couple of friends she had when she was in college and they told her to come to the ranch they lived at with their husbands and that there was plenty of room and their in-laws were more than okay with her coming to stay there.
“Sis, you know you can stay with me and Lily,” her brother Seth said. Lily was his wife and her sister-in-law.
“You guys don’t need your sister staying with you after you just got married,” Hayley said.
“You know Lily wants you there,” Seth said.
“Bro, I love you but I need to get away from the city and Misty and Beth are expecting me,” Hayley said. Misty and Beth were her college best friends.
“I’ll just miss you,” Seth said.
“I’ll stay in contact,” Hayley said.
“How’s my little niece or nephew?” Seth asked. He patted her expanding stomach. She was four months pregnant and her ex-boyfriend dumped her for someone else and didn’t want the baby and told her that he would sign his rights away when it was born. Seth found out he had been cheating for two months. She found out she was pregnant on the day he broke up with her. He did it after she told him and he told her he didn’t want the baby and he was done with her and that he found someone better.
“Doing good, I got all my records so I can see the doctor close to the ranch,” Hayley said.
“I’ll finish cleaning out the apartment okay, and store everything at my house,” Seth said.
“Thanks bro,” Hayley said.
“Love you sis,” Seth said.
“Love you bro,” Hayley said. He carried her stuff down to her car. She locked up and went downstairs to her car where her parents were.
“You got enough money to get there,” her father Brad said.
“Yes Daddy,” Hayley said.
“I’m glad you got this car new,” her mother Mary said.
“Me too Mom,” Hayley said.
“Be careful honey,” Mary said. They hugged. She hugged her dad. She hugged Seth and gave him her apartment key and got into the car and headed out of the city.
