Chapter 1: Daniel and Jeevika
Daniel means God is my judge and Jeevika means giving life and water. You might think by the meaning of their names they must have been like that, but not they weren't. Daniel never thought of God as his judge and Jeevika never thought of giving life like making someone from her family happy or even make them proud, but she loved water. Since her childhood Jeevika loved swimming.
Her parents always made sure she wouldn't go in to the deep side of the pool by her own while Daniel's didn't care that much as he knew how to swim by the age of seven and Jeevika learned at the age of nine.
One thing common about them is that they like swimming. Their favorite water sport is water polo. That's only thing common in between them so fur until the age of nine. The other common is playing sports, but not that much since Jeevika doesn't really like sports that much.
Now you might think they have a very nice and very easy forming relationship, right since they have a few things in common. NO, they don't. Instead in their case, forming a relationship was far more hard than any thing.
They both are completely different and have a very different personality and perspective of seeing things.
First up is Daniel:
Boy, 12 years old(almost turning, older than Jeevika), smart, chubby cheeks, short, athletic and is from Philippines.
Second up is Jeevika:
Girl, 12 years old(not yet, younger than Daniel), partly smart, chubby cheeks, tall, bit athletic and is from Fiji.
Now you see what I was talking about. They both are different, very different actually. The shocking part is that none of them expected life to take such any big turn. I know this isn't making any sense so let me go a few years back.
(Few years back, Jeevika's POV)
Jeevika: "I cannot believe I'm moving to another school, like I'm still 9, but am already moving schools" she said happily.
Manva:"I will miss you so much, but Why do you have to move schools?" He questioned Jeevika.
Manva is Jeevika's boy best friend at her old school, but there's one thing Manva doesn't know and that one thing is that Jeevika likes him. Yes, Jeevika has a CRUSH on Manva. Before she left the school, she wanted to tell Manva that she liked him, but she never had the courage to him tell when the day came where she then had to leave everything behind and start a new life, Jeevika didn't have the courage so she just left it there and then.
(Few years back, Daniel's POV, two years before Jeevika left her old school.)
Daniel:"Dan you are going to a new school. Behave well and everything will be alright" he said, speaking to him self while looking in the mirror.
Imelda(Daniel's mother):"Daniel hurry up or else you will be late to the first day of your school" she said rushing.
Daniel:"you see me and my family have moved to another country to earn money and today is the first day of school for me and for my elder brother Miguel who's 4 years older than me".
Daniel and Jeevika are not that dirty minded, but have some knowledge on things like that. But little did they both know what the new school that for both of them.
Daniel completed grade 3 making new.friends who would later ruin his life by getting him in trouble almost everyday while Jeevika joined the school when they both were in grade 4. By that time Daniel was influenced by other people so he became inappropriate as in talking about sexual things, but since Jeevika had just recently joined she was not influenced neither was she with Daniel in grade 4 which in her case is an life saver since Daniel bullied many people and made fun of his classmates. Grade 4 was fun and Daniel and Jeevika never crossed paths and soon after school started, months later it close because of COVID-19. They had to do distance learning which was fun, boring and a new experience as that was Jeevika's first time using a laptop which was hers and just like that the year had passed by in a blink of an eye by doing distance learning the whole year.
Grade 5 came, finally they could go back to school. Turns out Daniel and Jeevika were in the same class together. They even swtiched seats with each other and had no problem at all, but going to school every day only lasted a few months before they were back to distance learning. You thought everything just became worse. NO, it didn't. Lucky, we were fortunate enough that we could go back to school after a few months of distance learning. In this class Daniel and Jeevika were together, they even switched seats with each other, but never had feelings for each other.
Either way, Jeevika would not catch feelings for someone else since she still had a crush on her boy best friend.
