The Call of the Night

It was morning when Sage Lesiro woke up. He was your typical teenager boy, fluffy brown hair, freckled olive skin, hazel eyes, but he was 5 ’11. He was the shortest boy in his class and had a girly name, so he was made fun of a lot, but a lot of girls liked him, hung out with him, and even told the boys to leave him alone. There was a thud, Sage knew it was his best friend, Athena throwing a rock at his window. Now Athena was a normal teenage girl as well, messy brown hair that went to her shoulders, blue eyes, pale freckled skin, but she was 6 ’2. She was quite tall and she loved having a short sidekick although to Sage, she was the sidekick…but let’s get on with their story shall we? “COME ON! THEY’RE ALMOST OPEN!” Athena yelled “ATHENA IS THAT YOU?!” Mrs. Lesiro shouted “SORRY FOR THE WAKE UP CALL!” Athena yelled back “IT’S FINE!” Sage’s mother shouted back as Sage got into his regular outfit, a white collared shirt, a beige sweater, his glasses, and brown slacks, “I’M ALMOST READY!” Sage yelled “WELL HURRY UP!” Athena yelled. Sage ran down the stairs, said good morning to everyone, including his dogs, Canvas & Ember, “Bye!” Mrs. Lesiro said “Bye son!” Mr. Lesiro said “Goodbye my beautiful parents!” Sage said as he ran out the door to his best friend, “Hey Athena!” Sage said, looking up “Hey shorty!” Athena said One of her favorite nicknames Sage thought as he rolled his eyes. “So what adventure today?” Sage asked, “Well we can’t go to the beach, because of Nick and his friends.” Athena said, rolling her eyes and drinking some Sprite Nick Leonie, my bully Sage thought, Always bullying me for my height and everything I do wrong “Hey. Don’t think about him. He’s terrible.” his best friend said “Yeah I’m aware..” Sage said, taking out his phone, calling Maddie “Hey Mads!” he said
