Chapter one: THE ESCAPE
Valerie and Judith snuck out of the domitory and into the armory. They packed all they could and swiftly too into a big black duffel bag.
"Are you sure your parents would be outside waiting for us?" Judith asked Valerie. The lattter stopped stuffing the bag full of 9millimeter rounds, she stared at the brunette for a while and nodded " Yes they will, they can't leave with either of us". She said and tried lifting the bag, she dropped it right back
"Yeah, I don't think will make it to the gate with that load" Judith said and clicked her tongue. Valerie modded and started offloading some of the ammo.
" Don't move Judie" Valerie said even as she stood frozen." You're going to trigger the alarm if that string breaks , we can kiss the outside world, our lives and the lives of my parents bye bye"
" I get it, okay? So what do I do" she asked.
" On second thought, move"
" What?"
" Just trust me and break the freaking string!"
Judith took a deep breath and walked right through the string and almost immediately, the alarm started blaring through the speakers .
" Run!" Valerie screamed and they both took off. All the doors opened at once and everyone in every cell came out. So did the guards.
" Why did you ask me to trip the wire?!'
" We needed a distraction, to keep the guards busy".
Soon enough a guard armed with a cattle prod emerged.
" Oh, we can take him" Judith said and cracked her knuckles" we can right?"she asked.
" They've been training is since we were four, let's out it to good use" Valerie said and charged at the orderly . She kicked him in the shin and when he doubled over, she drive her knee ito his face. He yelped in pain then Judith hit him in the face with a turning kick and shoved him into a cell, he was rolling on the floor, his face covered in blood. Valerie walked up to him and smashed his face in with her boot. " So much for the huge figure" Judith said and smiled.
" Let's go" Valerie said and started running.
The mess hall was crowded with boys and girls dressed in orange overalls, and soon enough, orderlies dressed in black overalls and armed with cattle prods appeared and attacked the kids, instinctively, they fought back. The two runaways had made it to the yard when the lights were switced on, blinding them from seeing beyond the lights. Valerie looked at Judith and shook her head, Judith's eyes were already misty. Then orderlies emerged from behind the lights
"Let's make this effort worth it" Judith said and rolled up her sleeves, Valerie nodded and made her stance.
" Get back into your cells!" One orderlies yelled.
"Why don't you try that out one of these days?" Valerie replied, the orderly came at them - Valerie first. She made a backflip using her heel to hit him under his chin and hit his neck with her hand horizontal, then he started to choke. " You can get the next one" Valerie said and motioned towards the incoming figure .
Judith pummeled him in the guts and then her gave her a shock, she screaed and fell back. Before he could give her another one, Valerie kicked the prod out of his hand and smacked his head with her elbow.
Then all the orderlies came at them at once. The girls held hands and closed their eyes. Miraculously all the kids ran out into the yard, and they were armed with everything they could find, they came at the orderlies on the yard. Valerie pulled Judith and ran toward the electric gate fencefence. A gunshot was heard and instantaneously Judith fell to the ground.
"Sniper!!!!!"somebody yelled and everyone scattered. Valerie held Judith's pale body in her hands. Judith touched Valerie's face with shaky hands and said
" Go , don't worry about me... I'll be fine, even though there's a gushing hole in my belly... I always come through, I love you." She said and closed her eyes. Valerie say there for a while crying, before a car pulled up on the other side of the fence.
