Chapter 1
Diary of a High School Girl
Once upon a time, there was a girl called Tina. She also has a twin sister called Anna. Tina enjoys keeping a daily log. although her life was very normal. Tina enjoys writing poems, and it is the only thing she is good at. However, she never shares her poems with others. So, no one knows her poem-writing skills. She just writes in her diary. But Tina never calls that book a diary in public; she just calls it a notebook because kids in her middle school think that only losers write diaries. That is why she always buys a diary that has no written diary on the book cover.
She tries to look like a cool kid in her middle school, but she is just an invisible student. She never had a friend in her life, and she was hardly ever noticed by other students, except for the school‘s bully. Even though she has a bad school life, she has a very good family by her side. She has very hardworking parents, her twin sister Anna, and her brother. She is not in middle school anymore; she is going to start high school with her twin sister Anna. Anna has some heart issues, so she has been home-schooled her entire life. Since she was fine, their parents decided to send her to school. Tina’s older brother graduated from high school two years ago, so he knows everything about high school. One day, at dinner time, Tina’s mom asked Jake to share some high school experiences with Tina and Anna. So, Jake said, “High school is very different than other schools There are so many classes you have to take, and you need to look like a cool kid. If so, you will become the perfect target for the bullies. Be careful of those mean girls. ”
“Who are the mean girls?” asked Anna. Then Jake explains, “In every high school, in each year, there will be a group of mean girls. It can be three, four, or five. Those mean girls are very rich, and they think to themselves that they are very beautiful. If you are still out of their way, there will be no problem, but if you try to mess with them or try to be more popular than them, they will make your life miserable”. After that, Jake tries to explain more about mean girls, but his mother stops him because he was making Anna scared. The next day was Tina and Anna’s first high school day, so Tina taught Anna how to act like a cool kid because Anna was very childish. Then they went to their school. At school, everything was going perfectly until they checked their timetable and noticed that their classes weren’t the same, so Anna had to go to a different class. At first, Tina was worried about Anna, but then she decided to focus on herself. She enters her first class, and she finds somewhere to sit; a weird-looking girl asks her to sit beside her, but she was looking so weird and dirty, so Tina refused and sat in another place; unfortunately, that place she was sitting one of the mean girls’ places, and they made Tina sit somewhere else. So, Tina didn’t have to sit beside that dirty-looking girl. At lunchtime, Tina catches up with Anna, and no one lets them sit beside them, so they need to sit alone. Tina pounds herself one week later, noting that she had managed herself for one week and that it was now the weekend. Tina has nothing to do on the weekends, but Anna has plans to attend a singing competition on Sunday, where she won first place. So, after the weekend, when they went back to school, Anna became very popular. Everyone wanted to sit with Anna, and Anna didn’t even have time for Tina. So, Tina becomes lonely. Tina thought that she had her sister on her side, so she wouldn’t feel lonely, but she was wrong. Tina is not the only one who feels jealous of Anna. Also, the mean girls are jealous of Anna because all the students are paying attention to her more than they are. One day, Tina was writing poems because she had participated in a poem-writing concert in school. While she was writing the poem, Anna came to her room and asked her if she could help, but Tina wouldn’t let her help and asked her to leave the room. The next day at school, one of the mean girls came to Anna and asked her to steal the poem from Tina because she also participated in a poem-writing concert and she didn’t know anything about poems. Anna didn’t understand that and she thought that the mean girl was asking her for that poem because she wanted to read it, so she stole the poem from Tina and gave it to that mean girl. The next day at school, the teacher was announcing the winner of the in-poem writing contest and the poem named “Rainbow,” which was Tina’s poem, so Tina knew that she was the winner, but when the name was announced, it was that mean girl’s name, but it couldn’t be because the poem was Tina. Tina thought that the mean girl stole her poem, but there was no way that the mean girl stole her poem because she didn’t even know about Tina. The only one who knew about the Tina poem was Anna. So, she asks Anna if she stole her poem from that mean girl. I didn’t know you were writing that poem for consent, and I thought that mean girl was asking for that poem just to read. I didn’t know she would do that.” Tina understood Anna, but she was angry at Anna, so she decided not to talk with Anna and stay away from Anna and all the people from school. One day, when she was walking in the school hallway, she saw that three mean girls were bullying Anna. Those mean girls are jealous that Anna has become more popular than them. Tina calls the teacher, and those girls end up in detention. Anna thanks Tina for saving her, and then Tina realizes that she loves her sister no matter what and that she doesn’t need to be jealous of Anna’s popularity. Even though she didn’t have any friends, she didn’t need to feel alone. She has her sister by her side and even though her sister is busy with her friends, well, she can live alone and she didn’t need to feel ashamed for not having friends. Realizing this, she decided to begin the new school year with a new diary.
