Great part 1 of a 2 part story
"This book is part one of a two part story and ends on a cliff hanger. This story is a dark romantic fantasy, it contains explicit MMF (no MxM but significant plot points around voyerism and sharing). There are dragons and wolves together- There is a preliminary book duo by the same author that provides context for how those creatures and family dynamics interact (start with The Alphas and the Heiress). There is an engaging plot and the author writes well to engage the audience, without glossing over the complexities of emotions. The lead character is a strong, but flawed and ‘real’ woman (dragon) who literally wears her emotions and insecurities. The story contains flashbacks and multiple viewpoints, so it may be a little challenging to keep track if you read have not read the first books and read this over multiple sessions. Trigger warning: there is a plot through this story about a traumatic miscarriage that may be upsetting for some people. There is violence, but it fits with the plot and is in keeping with the character and plot development. One character is an assassin and there are scenes explaining their motivation and thought processes. "
