Chapter 6
Ria
The warriors and pack members entered the kitchen just as we finished arranging the food at the dining table. The werewolves have a great appetite and doesn’t shy on the amount of food they consume. All the mountains of eggs and bacon disappeared in mere minutes which means we have to prepare another round of breakfast for the Alpha and the others.
We get back to work on empty stomach. Dorothy was shouting orders when one of the she wolf couldn’t take it any more and fainted in the kitchen. She was dragged out of the kitchen by the guards. She will be sent to the dungeons and whipped. All of us are used to this routine.
There is no one to care or question the Alpha for all the things we go through in this pack.
We finish our work just in time as the Alpha entered the dining hall with his other warriors followed by some new faces. Those must be the wolves from the neighboring pack.
The Alpha summoned Dorothy and asked her to take care of the young wolves that he brought with him. We could feel the sense of defeat and sadness from all those wolves just like us.
I caught sight of one of those young she wolfs; she was injured a lot and blood has dried on her wounds in the face. As soon as they entered the slaves’ quarters, I went to her to help with the wound.
Her name is Lily and she lost her parents and brother in the war and was attacked when she tried to save her mother. It was really difficult to listen to each of their stories but most of them have come to terms with their current situation.
