"I have a bad habit of skimming when an author writes too much that doesn't enhance the story.... WELL NOT HERE! I have read several of this author's books and like the other stories, I am immersed in this world! The research and imagery put into this is mind blowing. At times it feels like I am reading straight from Aki's journal as if this is a documentary! The development between book one and now for both Aki and Mitsuhide as separate individuals and as a couple in education, training, maturity, and love is so deep and heartfelt. The journey we are put through to get to where we are now in the story is truly epic. I almost don't want to know what the future will bring because it indicates an end and I'm not ready for that! I want more of Jubei ❤️ "
