Summary

She was never made for war, she was just never born for fighting but for healing as her mother was born to do. In truth she despised weapons, she hated killing of any kind really and she found dark humor in that simply because she was bred to be Viking.

Author Note

Hello all,

I am rewriting Vinland. It will no longer be called Vinland: Anoana and there will be a lot of changes. Most of these changes will have to do with most of the characters within the first 3 chapters before we get to Alvis. I have gotten amazing feedback from many readers and on top of that I was able to step back for a few months and reenter the writing process with a fresh and clear mind. I am also working on two more writings but I will be slow on their updates as I get Vinland in order.

I will start making changes on my other platforms once I get done here on Inkitt. I will also post on my wall. The goal is to have this book finished officially by April of 2024 and hopefully be published sometime this year in 2024.

Thank you for your time and patience it truly means a lot to me!

ALSO TO ADD:

the chapters will be a bit smaller. The goal is to have a max word count at 2k to 2.5k. This will create enough free time for myself and will help me get more chapters in.

Let Tahniah know what you thought about this chapter!

Strong Dialog

Excellent opening sentence! (Although 'almost as if' in the first sentence and 'almost as if' in the second hit me upside the head a little bit!) 'Sounds from all around danced with one another' - lovely metaphor but sounds of what? When I don't get to hear the sounds they don't mean nearly as much, even with the dancing. 'It seemed like a small cabin' - I'm confused as to how the cabin fits in with the pounding hooves and did it seem, or was it? (I always encourage writers in this because I need to remember to do it - have you read the piece out loud? Easiest/cheapest way I've discovered to find clunky dialogue, unnecessary words, etc) People are rushing and screaming but I have no idea what's actually going on. A fire? A battle? A kidnapping? There's a 'fog of war' problem for me in this so far.

Bloodlines

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me. How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...

Sharda: This reads like if it's the author's first book. There were a lot of missing things to make the story feel real. I appreciated the good grammar and the storyline was good. It just needed some more, the book felt a bit rushed.

SECRET BILLIONAIRE

W_Skye: The secret-identity premise has real hooks, and the pacing kept me turning chapters (too quickly). What I'd have loved most is more depth in the prose itself, more scenes, more sensory grounding, a bit less telling me what's at stake and a bit more letting me feel it. The bones of a much richer and ...
