Chapter 1 - Empty home

Have you ever walked into a house that is filled with a spider web of memories? Sitting in this dusty and tiled floor looking around I started remembering the horrible reality of my empty life. My parents were the idol of every child’s dreams and made them feel special and every way. It’s crazy to think my childhood was the best and loving thing. But it all was an illusion and a sick twisted game of the mind. It seem that life was never fair for me and being the only child of a criminal and drug dealer. My parents raise me to be what any parent wanted their child to become a better person and happy lifestyle. I had all that once until it was taken from me before I could live to my full potential.

The sun was shining into this house that was still well furnished with everything intact. My bedroom was three doors down the hall from my parent’s room. They had always kept me in my room when they had company and I like always fall asleep and native to what is happening. There were rumors in my neighborhood that once you walk into the devil’s household you never come out. I started to believe what they said when I was in my young adult years and the reality of who my parents actually were hit me like a ton of bricks and took my breath away before I could take it in. my parents never knew I was aware of them in some sociological perspective way. There was this eerie feeling looming in the air and it was cold and dry to the touch. The air sometimes was so dry and dusty that you cough until you see blood out of your nose and mouth. It happen to me twice without a doubt it was them. The souls of the undead walking in this house made me feel somewhat paranoid and anxious to leave the house.

My mother was this mad house that sealed away all emotion towards the world except me and my father alongside my grandparents. She sometimes would watch me for hours and smile like everything was okay. But I was so wrong under all that beauty was the true monster that she show no one but her victims and co-workers that pissed her off. For my father’s sake he was general of mission blissfulness and did a heck of a job on the side he was a drug dealer that was fearless and everyone I mean everyone was scared to go against him for some reason I could understand he had a bad temper problem and ONLY my mother could calm him down.

Besides me, I was just an average male about 5 ft. 8 inches. I’m almost finished college but am in the last year of my terms. Thank god I have been working at this club as a bartender for almost eight years if I think about it. My grandparents o.wn this bar as extra cash in their pocket and I see why now. It was fun and loud chicks dig me and got laid more than once. I was never the player that all my friends thought I was. But don’t get me wrong I’m a one-night-stand type of guy. I get my perks with the ladies. After that accident 2 years ago I just fall off the grid. My parents never understood how a guy like me turn from timid to a womanizer but it sure helps me to distract myself from the pain of betrayal of the one I call my parents once upon a time.

I finish looking around the house that is so empty and dusty with tons of memories that I resent and loved. I resent them because of the lies and betrayal all the love they show me made my life what it is now. I resent it because of the pain and anger they brought guilt of one and displeasure. I love them for being good parents and believing me when I had doubts about my fair share. I loved them because they filled this big empty gap in my heart that I crave for that attention and love they once give me before they were taken away. I sigh and open the front door and look around one more time and did a side grin and walk out of the house not without the hardware box though. Going to my BMW and put the box in my car and turn around light a match throwing at the house and watch it light up. And I finally said my final words at this dreadful house.

“Goodbye, Heaven I miss you baby” I just shake my head ” what they did was so unhuman and they will pay for their crimes” I smiled as my tears spill down my face walk to the driver’s side and get in pulling off as soon I heard the police sirens. I watch from a distance as the ambulance and firetruck pull up not so far away was the police car.
