Dwarfen Shore

The sun has not yet set on the Dwarfen empire

Saw Con – The City of the World’s desire

The Land of the peoples who aspire

They came from across the unlivable mires

Searching desperately, for the place to retire

Acompanied with diseases, chased by a famine

Thousands of souls lost with no time for an amen

A vision from Gods or the hallucinations of ill chaplan

Has lead them amongst the sky-reaching summits

Into a darkness of uncertainty and remote alleys

Until one faithful day, encountering The Valley

Placed in between the unwelcoming massifs

Fertile land stretching over the horizon

With the farms to be build and workshops constructed

With the forests mapped and the streams tamed

In their minds the resolution was ennacted

Here lays the Dwafen lands they looked for

There is to build their civilization’s core

Safe and sound from the world’s roars

They will make it theirs refuge shore

So the thousands of years has passed in the generations heartbeat

The fertail soil feed them meat, water and gold plated wheat

The mountains scarred with surface ores

The forges steaming, reading for wars

Never complacent. Do not forget

How forefathers arrived in distress

We need to be ready, We need to be strong

Cannot be forgoten, the horrors of world

The night embelished with an outpost’s lights

Glowing in the distance among the mountain’s hights

Staffed with men, preped with piles

Watching over The Valley’s lifes

Warning the others, horns were blown

The army of Urks has finally come

The humans refused the reason’s call

Ignoring the warnings, now they fall

Faithful to vows, with home to protect

We stand tall opossing the evil, infection that spreads

Cannons are ready, bowmans are trained, traps and defences are maintained and set

Full plated armors vested on hips, with bloody long axes, pikes and horsmen’s picks

Bearded faces with no loosen cheeks. Commited to fighting, and dying in need

At forenoon of the next day the struggle begun, The army of Urks with preparation was done

In unison like swarm, unfolded its wings, showing their might and striking bloodcurdling fear

Countless of soldiers ready to kill, that was their purpose, this was their dream

Born of hatred, pushed by lust. Urks loved a warfare and slaughter, that forever lasts

In a great roar the first row advanced. Bearing the ladders, sprinting towards the mountain’s pass

Those were the fallen, of the human empires. Their only chance to live, was to assault at mass

Half did not survive, swept by an volley. They joined their families in heaven, and their bodies

Still

Just like those who reached the walls. Trying to climb it, are dying slowly

One by one, pierced by an arrow or hit with a stone. Their expressions vividly, for defenders were shown

Anger and hatred, for being left alone. Regret for not listening to Dwarfs before

Expressions now in the lifless eyes. Man, women and children under the walls now lie

Urks continuing the onslaught, wave after wave, the waves they throw, now the equipped soldiers, those of their own

Rushing towards the goal, pulling their weak bows. Missing their shots and getting hit in return by the Dwarfs

Urks scream in excitement, seeing their own blood flow. That is why they are here

They want to experience death and pain more

Another wave of another line, and hour after another. Days has passed with years to come

There is simply too many of them

Too many willing to die...

Dwarfs are terrified by the insanity of foe. Can we really withstand the mad-mans blows?

Thinking that the Urks came here for conquer, yet they came here for the show

Came here to feast on death and bones

Unhinged by failures in breaching the point, catching the canonballs and eating the volleys

The goal of glorious death in battle, fills their ranks with jolly

Days has gone with the same scenario unfolding

The wave of suicide stopped by the arrows and oil

Burning dead and still-moving bodies

Screams of joy and euphoric chanting

Gave Urks the strenght, and Dwarfs a panting

After a month Urks started to reach the walls and climb it to half

Pikes piercing their skulls, bullets disemboweling their guts

Blood squirting, bliding the sides. For them the only way, is to go up

The first Urk, his name now famous and known, climbed as the first onto the Dwarfen walls

Was cut abrubtly of course, however he set an example for others who followed

Beasts kept taking his place, pushed defenders to the edge and over

They took the first line, entry to Eden

Stockpiles were full but logistics were slow, too many Urks begun to come

They were done with party and fun, after the first line has crumbled and fall

They poured through the narrow point, like a sea of mud, children of war

Milions of them, marching over the dead of their own, through the remote alleys taking fortifications they saw

Within a mere day, reaching The Valley...

The sun has set on the Dvarfen empire

Saw Con – The City of the World’s desire

Now fallen, turned into a pyre

Living on this shore for thousands of years

Cuted down by swords, they can finally retire
