Summary

Boom.

“I can hear you,” The Wind whispered.

“I can feel you,” The Earth proclaimed.

“I can save you.” The Storm echoed.

Voices. So many voices. Why couldn’t it just be quiet? Why couldn’t I find peace? Heavy footsteps slowly stalked towards the door. No. He was going to find me. He was going to hurt me. This I knew.

“Let us help you!” Again with the voices! Why must my mind not solely belong to me?

The shadows writhed against the door warning me of his approach.

“We know you,” The shadows murmured. “let us help..”

I had never let them in. What would happen once I accepted them? I just wanted to hide away and not have to ever open my eyes or hear anyone again.

“Okay” I shuttered as the door opened and then everything melted away to nothing.

Peace.

Finally.
