A beautiful novel
"This is the most well written thing I've read on this app so far. They do really well to develop a fantasy world that's somewhat familiar (elves and orcs and trolls and whatnot) but also has its own lore and laws and geography. Even the random side characters are really detailed, unique and believable; you start to hope some of them are going to stick around for the rest of the story. A lot of writers tend to overuse the same similes, same descriptions, same metaphors, all written as simply as possible just to get the story going. But they've described their world with a very extensive vocabulary. I don't feel like I keep hearing the same phrases repeated over and over, or that they're struggling to find words or convey concepts. If I had to give some criticism, I would say that as for the plot, I'm not exactly sure where we're going. And that's not necessarily bad, because I'm enthralled by the writing so I'll trust that the story knows where it's taking me. But as a novel trying to gain traction on an app full of people with the attention span of a goldfish, it might not be enough. Tell me what the main characters want, right off the bat, give me some foreshadowing into what path they're headed down. But take that with a grain of salt. Obviously I'm gonna keep reading. I think I'm on chapter 5 now. So I'll edit this review once I've reached the end. But if you're curious about it, read it. Trust it. "
