CHAPTER 001 - DEATH OF A PAITENT

A patient was taken to emergency ward.

“Call Doctor Khan.”, a head nurse yelled.

“He is on vacation, Miss. Parker.”, an assistant nurse replied.

The head nurse shook her head. She smiled at the assistant nurse by telling, “Then, Call Doctor Harrison.”

The assistant nurse called. She rushed toward Doctor Harrison’s room.

The assistant nurse saw a sleeping person on the couch. She shook the person, “Doctor Harrison. Wake up. We have an emergency patient here.”

Doctor Harrison didn’t say anything. She refreshed. She run to the emergency room.

Two hours later, the nurses and Doctor Harrison came out. They sighed as the patient was in good condition.

The doctor and nurses went to their places.

That night, Doctor Harrison had night shift. Some of the nurses went home. She stayed. She walked out of her room. She checked the patient rooms.

While checking, she notices a room which was slightly open. She peeked. She saw an old lady in patient dress near the window.

“Excuse me, Madam. Please take rest.”, Doctor Harrison spoke. The old lady smirked. She pointed at the bed.

Doctor Harrison was terrified as she saw the old lady in the bed.

“Dear. I am taking rest permanently .”, the old lady smiled, standing before her.

Doctor Harrison jolted. She tried to leave the room. The door locked itself.

“You… You are…”, She stumbled.

The old lady sighed, “Dear. I don’t have much time. I need to tell you something.”

“I don’t want to hear anything, Madam. I am leaving.”, Doctor Harrison attempted to leave.

I must be dreaming. Why am I seeing doppelganger of her? Ah… I must leave this room and inform her doctor or her relatives.

“Don’t you want to take revenge?”, the old lady asked. She was looking at her own body.

She saw the old lady suspiciously, “What?”

“Come here. I can’t explain everything, if you are standing there.”, the old lady said, “I have something for you.”

At first, Doctor Harrison hesitated. Then she stood closer.

“Here. ”, The old lady gave emerald pendant.

“Madam. Why are you giving me? I don’t want it. ”

“It will help you to take revenge.”, the old lady helped Doctor Harrison to wear the pendant.

“Madam. This.”

“Please take my heirloom. My family members are trying to kill me. Sell this precious item. But I disagree about their decision.”, She spoke, “They will try to take this away or kill you. Be careful my child. This is my last wish. Sidney Harrison.”

Doctor Harrison widens her eyes. She saw the lady.

“Wait. Wait. Madam. Is it your family heirloom? I can’t take it.”, She asked, “ And. How do you know about me?”

“ I know your mother. Sidney. But you don’t know me.”, she whispered, “ when you return home, ask your mother who am I.”

Doctor Harrison sat. She looked around her room. She was so confused. She noticed a casket on the coffee table. She opened it and saw the emerald pendant.

She kept it in her bag. She called her assistant nurse from the telephone.

“Good morning. Doctor Harrison.”, her assistant nurse came.

“Miss. Lily. Give me the details of 404 patient.”, she ordered.

Miss. Lily nodded. Few moments passed, Doctor Harrison didn’t attend the patients. she came back. She gave the details.

Doctor Harrison was shocked and shivered, “Is she really dead ? When?”

“Yesterday night at 3’o clock, Madam.”

“You can leave, Miss. Lily.”

“Oh. Yes. Madam.”

She read the patient’s details again. She noticed her name.

Doctor Harrison mumbled, “Mrs. Sidney Ruby.”
