Chapter 1
The sky is violet in Eldmond.
That means it's a special day. Here, in the Kingdom, violet means pace, and that will really help us.
We are about to go in a war, and being a queen it's not really funny in these moments.
We are an amazing kingdom when it's about war, but the other kingdom it's more prepared.
I'm carving a sword in front of the fireplace in the living room.
I've been training to work with swords but I just can't do it.
The one I'm doing now is big, long and with some red diamonds on it. It's not like Adrian's, but it's alright. He wants me to be prepared for the war, and is trying to make me learn how to use different weapons.
I'm waiting for my husband to come from a speech.
"Hey darling."
Adrian says as he enters the living room. He puts his jacket on the sofa and comes to me. Sitting down, he takes the last biscuit from the plate and eats it. He looks at me and then at my sword
"I really like it, it looks beautiful."
"Thank you. How was the speech?"
I say as I continue to do my sword.
"It was fine, until people started to ask about the war. The mermaids are actually worried more than the fairies. Did you knowed?"
"No. But seing that Theodore adores mermaids and they are really powerful, I would have been scared if I was a mermaid. Like, imagine if he kidnaps only one of them. They can't lie so he will find out everything about our plans."
Mermaids are the most powerful creatures from our kingdoms, and they want to help us at the war so we got some chances to win.
"Yeah, about Theodore. I know you guys were friends, and that's why I don't think he will think that you are going to do something to him even if we are from different sides."
Me and Theo were friends when we were kids. Best friends, actuality. But everything changed in high school. He started to be rude with me and laugh at me. Then, at 20, he became king of Werltland, and I was queen of Eldmond. Two kingdoms that hate each other. So now, at 26, we are rivals.
"What do you want me to do?" I ask and put my sword down.
"It's a little dangerous, but it might work. You will need to go to Theodore, and talk to him. Make him believe that you want to be friends again. Then, you will be "friends" with him. Then, slowly, he will start to tell you his plans, and then, right before the war, you tell me all his plans. With this we can win easily.
"I don't know... what if he finds out? What if he doesn't accept? What do we do then?"
"We will think about it after you talk with him. I will have a dispositive that tells me where you are in your phone, so I can know if he does something to you. After you come back home, I will take it out. So, will you do it?"
I don't know what to say. Being with him again, being friends with him again even if it's fake.
And I'm actually scared to see him again. He hates me now, and I hate him too but I haven't seen him for 5 years. I'm sure it will be hard to do all of this.
And yes, Adrien is right. I'm sure he doesn't think that I will do this to him. While he was comporting terrible with me, I still stayed by his side and protected him from other people who were saying bad things about him.
"Are you sure I can do this?"
"Of course darling. You are fucking incredile and im 100% sure you can do it. And think about revenge. You will do this for yourself too. He will feel what you feeled."
Don't get me wrong, I love him so much, but when he is like this, I absolutely hate him.
"Ok, let's say I do this. When will I start?"
"In like 2 weeks. We need to make more plans and you need to prepare yourself. So what do you say? Will you do it?"
I want to say yes. I really do but something tells me to say no. What of this doesn't help with anything? What if i will become close to him again? I don't want this at all but I'm the queen and I need to protect my kingdom so...
"Yes. I will do it."
"Amazing! God, I love you so much my darling."
"I love you too. So, I will go in two weeks,and that means,monday."
"Yes. Do you have something to do on that day?"
"No. Do you?"
"A lot. But I'm so happy you are doing it, you have no idea." He says as he kisses my forehead and leaves.
I don't regret saying yes now that I actually said it. I do want to get revenge. I want to fool him, to show him that he's not the only one who can do this.
