From Inkitt to Galatea: A Collaborative Journey of Two Rising Authors
Every writer’s journey begins with a spark—a moment when raw passion meets boundless possibility. At Inkitt, we celebrate these transformative moments! And today we’re thrilled to spotlight one of our very own authors, the creative minds behind Seduced by Seven: C. Swallow (Chrystyna) and Jen Cooper (Jennifer).
For many writers, the journey from drafting a story to seeing it published on a major platform can be both thrilling and daunting. But for Jennifer and Chrystyna, two talented authors who met through Inkitt, their journey took a unique turn—one that led to a powerful creative partnership and their debut on Galatea.
We sat down with the duo to discuss their inspirations, writing process, and what it feels like to bring their story, Seduced by Seven, to life for a whole new audience.
The Beginning: How It All Started
What inspired you both to start writing?
Jennifer: “My first story was a silly high school romance I wrote at 14. I had no idea people could actually publish their work back then! Now, I’m rewriting The First Prophecy on Inkitt and realizing how much my writing has evolved.”
Chrystyna: “I started Dragon’s Princess at 15 and finished it at 18—and now it has a publishing deal! Honestly, I think I wrote better as a teenager because I just went for it without overthinking. Now, my writing is more refined, but that raw passion was something else.”
Both authors followed very different paths but ended up on the same platform, finding success in their own ways.
Why Dragons? Why Werewolves?
When it comes to fantasy and romance, world-building is everything. For Jennifer and Chrystyna, their choice of supernatural elements came from personal experiences and, in some cases, unexpected influences.
Jennifer: “I’ve always been drawn to fire—so dragons just made sense. They match my passion.”
Chrystyna: “Werewolves? I hated them because of Jacob in Twilight! But when I started writing them into my own stories, I realized how much fun I could have reimagining them.”
Their shared love for powerful supernatural creatures led to their latest book, where fantasy, passion, and intrigue collide.

Seduced by Seven: Pushing Boundaries
What makes Seduced by Seven stand out?
Jennifer: “The heat. That’s it. That’s the post.”
Chrystyna: “This story pushed us way out of our comfort zones as writers. We knew something had to be different, something had to stand out. So, we focused intensely on character interactions—and trust me, you’ll feel it.”
This commitment to deep character connections and high-stakes romance is what makes their writing so compelling.
Writing Together: How Collaboration Changed Everything
Most authors work alone, but Jennifer and Chrystyna found that working together made them stronger.
How did you meet and decide to collaborate?
Chrystyna: I reached out after reading Owned by the Alphas to say I loved it, and then Jen reached out and asked if we should work together and mix things up. We met through Instagram—Jen was talking to a Galatea employee who suggested trying some collaborations. I knew I had to dive in. The rest is history.
Jennifer: “I handle a lot of world-building, making sure every detail is solid.”
Chrystyna: “And I focus on character conversations and dialogue. Together, it just clicks.”

The Writing Process: Rituals, Motivation, and Music
Every writer has their own process, but as a team, Jennifer and Chrystyna had to find ways to align their creative habits.
What’s your writing ritual?
Jennifer: “Step one: Make sure the kids are gone. Step two: Open all my tabs. Step three: Write, delete tabs as I go, and make Chrystyna hold me accountable!”
Chrystyna: “First, I re-read the last chapter. Then I edit, get into the vibe, and let the music take over. I’m in my flow!”
How do you stay motivated during long projects?
Jennifer: “Deadlines keep me on track. The fear of missing one? Terrifying. If I get stuck, I message Chrystyna, switch up my playlist, and match the music to the book’s vibe.”
Chrystyna: “Collaboration keeps me going, but when I need a boost, it’s all about the music. I have playlists for every mood, every story—sometimes even white noise gets the job done.”
Music and accountability played a huge role in keeping them consistent and inspired.
Inkitt & Galatea: The Publishing Journey
For both authors, Inkitt was the first step toward a larger publishing deal.
How did Inkitt help you grow as a writer?
Jennifer: “Updating consistently on Inkitt got my stories on the front page. That visibility helped me grow, and winning a competition led to my publishing deal. That’s when I knew… this was legit.”
Chrystyna: “Inkitt’s reader interaction is what makes it special. Seeing what readers connect with helps me adjust, follow trends, and improve my stories in real-time.”
The Future of Their Writing Partnership
Jennifer and Chrystyna aren’t stopping anytime soon.
What’s next for you both?
Jennifer: “We’re always writing— balancing each other’s strengths.”
Chrystyna: “Expect more duets, more stories, and a huge behind-the-scenes project we can’t wait to share!”
Their collaboration has grown into a true creative partnership, proving that sometimes, the best stories come from two minds working as one.
Final Thoughts
Jennifer and Chrystyna’s story is a testament to the power of persistence, collaboration, and taking risks. From writing their first books as teens to becoming published Galatea authors, they’ve embraced every step of the journey with passion and determination.
If you’re an aspiring author on Inkitt, take their advice:
Keep writing, even when no one’s reading. Consistency is everything.
Write for yourself first—if you lose the passion, the magic fades.
With their debut release on Galatea, Jennifer and Chrystyna are just getting started. And for readers eager to dive into their world? Buckle up—it’s going to be a wild, passionate ride.
