Blood of Kaeron

[NARRATOR: Years ago, long before the kingdoms of men became divided, the ancient world was ruled by kings, warriors, and powerful gods,Above them all stood the Thunder God, the supreme god and the most powerful divine being in the world.He watched over the lands of the ancient world and assigned lesser gods to protect different kingdoms and territories.One of the greatest kingdoms was Arvandor, ruled by a powerful king named Therak.King Therak had six sons.His five eldest sons were each given great territories to rule.The first son received the city of Arkanis, protected by the God of War.The second received Vareth, protected by the God of Fire.The third received Drakora, protected by the God of Earth.The fourth received Elyndor, protected by the God of Water.The fifth received Thalorin, protected by the God of Wind.The sixth son, however, was given something very different.His name was Kaeron.Kaeron was proud, stubborn, and difficult to control.King Therak did not trust him with a great kingdom like his brothers.Instead, he gave Kaeron a small territory to manage as a test.A guardian god named Eronis was assigned to protect the land.Kaeron mistreated the people under his rule and began attacking neighboring settlements.Eronis warned him repeatedly, urging him to protect the people and maintain peace.Kaeron ignored every warning.Believing that his position as a prince gave him the right to rule however he pleased, he continued his actions.Eventually, Eronis reported everything to King Therak.Kaeron was summoned before his father.He defended his actions by pointing to the great kingdoms given to his brothers. In his eyes, he had been given far less than he deserved.King Therak saw it differently.Kaeron had been given an opportunity, and he had abused it.As punishment, Therak banished his sixth son from Arvandor.Kaeron left the kingdom with his wife, children, loyal warriors, and the people who chose to follow him.They traveled far beyond Arvandor's borders, crossing mountains, forests, and unfamiliar lands until they reached a distant territory untouched by the great kingdoms.There, they built a settlement.The settlement grew into a village.The village became a town.And eventually, it became a powerful city.They named it Kaeronis, after the man who had led them there.Unlike the great cities of Arvandor, Kaeronis had no god.No divine guardian watched over its people.They survived through their own strength.Its warriors became hardened fighters, and every child was raised to understand the importance of survival, discipline, and self-reliance.But the people never forgot where they came from.The history of Kaeron was passed from parent to child.They remembered his banishment.They remembered the kingdom he had been forced to leave.And they believed their bloodline had been denied the place it deserved.Over time, that belief became part of Kaeronis itself.The people began looking toward Arvandor with resentment, believing that one day their descendants would return and reclaim what had been taken from their ancestor.The old grievance became a promise carried through the generations.Many generations later, two boys were born into Kaeron's bloodline.Their names were Aldrich and Zayron.They grew up together in Kaeronis.From childhood, they trained side by side, learning the ways of warriors.As they grew older, their friendship became stronger.They fought together,They protected each other.And eventually, they became like brothers.By the time they reached their nineteenth year, Aldrich and Zayron had grown into skilled young warriors.They had already earned the respect of many in Kaeronis.Their journey would take them beyond Kaeronis.Beyond the world they knew.And eventually, toward the gods themselves.Their story was about to begin.]

PRESENT DAY

[SFX: BAAAAAAAAAAH!]

[NARRATOR: The sound of a war trumpet thundered across Kaeronis,The peaceful morning was suddenly broken.Warriors rushed from their homes and barracks.Weapons were grabbed.Armor was tightened.Archers climbed onto the walls at the center of the warrior quarters.Aldrich and Zayron stepped into the hallway,Aldrich carried a sword in his hand while Zayron carried a heavy battle axe they moved quickly toward the eastern gate.]

COMMANDER: We are under attack! Everyone to the eastern wall!

[NARRATOR: Aldrich and Zayron exchanged a quick look and continued toward the battlefield.They reached the eastern wall beyond the massive gates stood an enormous enemy army,Thousands of soldiers had gathered across the battlefield their banners stretched across the horizon,Horses stood ready,Siege weapons were being prepared.The enemy had come to take Kaeronis.]

[SFX: BWOOOOOOOOOO!]

[NARRATOR: The enemy horns sounded.

Then the army began to charge.]

[SFX: ROAAAAAAAR!]

[NARRATOR: Thousands of soldiers rushed toward Kaeronis.

The defenders raised their bows.]

COMMANDER: ATTACK!!!

[SFX: WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!]

[NARRATOR: A storm of arrows filled the sky,they crashed into the advancing army but the enemy continued forward.Their shields locked together as they approached the walls.The first enemy soldiers reached the gate.

[The battle began.]

[NARRATOR: Aldrich jumped down from the wall and landed among the enemy soldiers three warriors immediately surrounded him.They first attacked,Aldrich stepped aside and the blade passed inches from his body,He turned and knocked the man's weapon away.Before the second soldier could attack, Aldrich struck him to the ground.The third charged,Aldrich ducked beneath the attack, turned, and struck back,The soldier fell.

Aldrich looked around. More enemies were coming,He tightened his grip on his sword and charged.]

[NARRATOR: Across the battlefield, Zayron was already fighting.Two enemy soldiers attacked him at once,Zayron blocked one strike with his axe.The second attacked from the side.Zayron turned and caught the attack with the handle of his weapon,He pushed both warriors backward.Then he swung his axe with tremendous force,One soldier was knocked to the ground,The other stumbled backward.Zayron charged after him.]

ZAYRON: Come on!

[NARRATOR: Five more soldiers rushed toward him,Zayron planted his feet,They attacked together.He blocked the first strike,Then another,He ducked beneath a third he slammed his shoulder into one attacker and sent him crashing into another,Then his axe swept across the battlefield, forcing the remaining soldiers backward.]

[NARRATOR: Aldrich suddenly appeared beside him.]

ALDRICH: You're having all the fun.

ZAYRON: You were taking too long.

[NARRATOR: Aldrich smiled.

Then the two warriors charged together.]

[NARRATOR: Aldrich moved quickly through the enemy line,His sword struck with speed and precision every movement was controlled,Every opening was immediately punished.Zayron fought with a completely different style,His heavy axe carried enormous force,Every swing pushed enemy soldiers backward.Together, they became a dangerous combination.An enemy soldier attacked Aldrich from the side,Aldrich blocked the strike,Zayron struck the soldier's shield and sent him stumbling backward.Aldrich immediately finished the attack.Another soldier rushed toward Aldrich from behind,Zayron saw him first he pulled Aldrich out of the way,The enemy's blade missed Zayron countered immediately Aldrich turned and struck another soldier approaching from the opposite side.They never allowed themselves to become separated.One protected the other,One attacked whenever the other created an opening,Their movements showed years of fighting together.]

[NARRATOR: A group of enemy warriors noticed them.More than ten soldiers surrounded the two friends so they can be able to stop them,

Zayron looked around.]

ZAYRON: There are quite a few of them.

ALDRICH: You scared?

ZAYRON: Not even close.

[NARRATOR: The soldiers charged,Aldrich moved first.He slipped between two attackers, striking one before turning toward another.Zayron charged directly into the group.His axe crashed against shields,The force of his attacks pushed the soldiers backward.Aldrich moved around him, striking at every opening Zayron created.One enemy soldier tried to attack Zayron from behind,Aldrich stopped him,Another rushed toward Aldrich Zayron blocked the attack,The two continued fighting back to back within moments, the enemy formation broke apart.Several soldiers fell,The remaining warriors began retreating but the battle was far from over.]

[SFX: BOOOOOOOOOOM!]

[NARRATOR: A massive explosion shook the battlefield.A section of the eastern wall collapsed.

Stone and dust filled the air,The enemy had broken through more soldiers poured into Kaeronis the defenders began falling back.]

ALDRICH: They're inside.

ZAYRON: Then we push them back out.

[NARRATOR: The two warriors sprinted toward the breach using their horses. A group of enemy soldiers stood between them and the city.Aldrich charged first,His sword flashed through the air Zayron followed close behind.Together, they broke through the enemy line.The defenders saw them and began pushing forward.The battle shifted.Kaeronis's warriors rallied around Aldrich and Zayron.The enemy soldiers who had entered the city began losing ground.The fighting continued until the enemy commander finally ordered a retreat.The enemy army pulled away from the walls.The defenders chased them back across the battlefield till they went far away.

Then the war trumpet sounded again.]

[SFX: BAAAAAAAAAAH!]

[NARRATOR: The battle was over,smoke covered the battlefield, broken weapons lay scattered across the ground,Wounded warriors were carried back into the city,and The eastern wall had been badly damaged.Kaeronis had survived but the victory had come at a heavy cost.]

[NARRATOR: That evening, the surviving soldiers were ordered to gather inside the royal fortress.The King of Kaeronis, King Darius Kael, entered the great hall,He was a stern ruler who demanded strength from his people and respected the warriors who defended his kingdom.But the damage to the city had filled him with anger,He stood before the soldiers and looked at them in silence.]

KING DARIUS KAEL: Look at what has happened!,You allowed the enemy to break through our walls!,Do you know what it costs to defend this city?.Do you know how many warriors we lost today?

Do you know how much it will cost to repair what you allowed them to destroy?

[NARRATOR: The soldiers remained silent.King Darius Kael walked slowly in front of them.]

KING DARIUS KAEL: Our ancestors built this city with their blood.They survived without the protection of gods.They fought for every piece of land they possessed.And today, you allowed an enemy army to walk through our walls!I will not tolerate weakness in my army.

[NARRATOR: The king stopped before the soldiers.His expression hardened.]

KING DARIUS KAEL: Every soldier who abandoned his position will be punished,You will spend the next several days repairing the eastern wall and rebuilding what was destroyed.Those who failed to defend their positions will receive additional punishment.Let this be a lesson.The next army that comes to our gates must not find us unprepared.

[NARRATOR: The soldiers lowered their heads,King Darius Kael turned away from them.His anger remained, but now it had become determination,He turned toward his generals.]

KING DARIUS KAEL: We will not wait for them to attack again.

GENERAL ROVAN: Your Majesty?

KING DARIUS KAEL: We will attack first.

[NARRATOR: The soldiers were dismissed,King Darius Kael entered the war room with his most trusted general, General Rovan.

A large map covered the center of the room.The map showed Kaeronis and the neighboring enemy kingdom.The enemy capital was marked in red.]

KING DARIUS KAEL: They came to our land believing they could break us.They were wrong,We will march to their city,We will break through their defenses.And we will take their city before they have another chance to attack us.

GENERAL ROVAN: Your Majesty, their walls are heavily guarded.

KING DARIUS KAEL: Then we find a way through them.

[NARRATOR: The king placed his hand on the map,He pointed toward the enemy's main gate.]

KING DARIUS KAEL: Their strongest defenses are here.Their army will expect us to attack directly.We won't.

[NARRATOR: General Rovan leaned closer to the map,The king moved his finger toward a mountain route behind the enemy city.]

KING DARIUS KAEL: We send the main force toward the western road,They will believe that is where our army is heading,While they move their soldiers to defend it, a smaller force will travel through the mountain pass,They will approach the city from behind.

GENERAL ROVAN: And once the rear gate is taken?

KING DARIUS KAEL: The main army attacks,Their defenses will collapse between us.

[NARRATOR: General Rovan studied the map carefully.The king continued explaining the plan,Archers would provide cover from the hills,The strongest warriors would lead the main assault,a smaller force would enter through the mountain pass and attack the rear gate.Another group would remain behind to protect Kaeronis in case the enemy attempted another attack.It was a dangerous plan,But if it succeeded, the enemy city would fall.]

KING DARIUS KAEL: Prepare the army,We march at dawn.

GENERAL ROVAN: Yes, Your Majesty.

[NARRATOR: General Rovan bowed and left the war room.Outside the fortress, Kaeronis was already beginning its preparations,Blacksmiths worked through the night,Weapons were sharpened,Horses were prepared,Warriors repaired their armor,The damaged wall was being rebuilt.And throughout the city, word spread that Kaeronis would not remain on the defensive.The next battle would not be fought at their gates,They would take the war to the

ir enemy.Aldrich checked the edge of his sword,Zayron tightened his grip around his battle axe,The two friends stood ready for whatever waited beyond the walls.At dawn, the army of Kaeronis would march toward the enemy city.
