Hi, My name is Ben Alandova. I’m writing this because Amanda suggested I write a book about my experiences after the Calamity. My memory gets a little foggy during the beginning so I’ll start with what I remember and I’ll put in fragments of what I remember before the chapters. But keep in mind those will be short. Amanda had also suggested I write about the present. So I guess I will here. I am currently twenty years old and am living happily in Alaska with my girlfriend Amanda Turlon. The date is March 15th, 2156. It’s a lot colder here in Alaska than the desert that was Maine. About a year after we escaped, a second, of what is known now as a Goliath Hurricane, came through and split the continent in half. Yeah, Goliath Hurricanes are not to be messed with. They can be seen from a quarter of the globe. The Venus Colonies claim to have found what looks to be a piece of the East Coast from the Calamity. All this stuff just makes me wonder how it got this bad. I remember learning about global warming back in middle school, in the twenty-first century it had started out as some places getting a bit warmer then some places got colder and soon the whole climate was messed up. There was a generation called iGen that tried to fix it but couldn’t so fate took its course and left us with this strange world.

PandaMonium: Absolutely loved this book. Best book I've read, not just enjoyed! Wasn't a slow burn that can get boring, Wasn't too fast and didn't give readers a chance. It's just that perfect tempo. I thought towards the ending, that there would be a bit of retaliation, but at the same time, it didn't bother m...

Heika van Walderveen: I had to get used to the style. It’s a lot of switching and getting back into the story of the characters. Also the different timelines were a bit confusing in the beginning. But once you’re used to it, it’s really quite original. The plot is good, but it’s only book 1 (out of 3), but so far so good...
