This book is very different from anything I’ve ever read before so I went in with a blank, clear mind!
Read the story now
First of all. I was hooked by the use of Irish and the beautiful descriptive language, you do both of these really well! It’s really interesting to learn more about Irish culture this way and how the boys deal with it, like the whole speak English or Irish dilemma! I liked that a lot!
Also, the interactions between the characters is sooooo engaging because it’s just so realistic! It’s exactly how people would speak in real life, using slang and such words :) I really enjoyed the dialogue sections! But the descriptions were also just...wow!
Your writing style is incredibly hooking, it has like an old storytelling vibe to it, like something from long ago...it’s really nice and cosy :)
I’ve only read up to chapter 3 but good job! You give some really good insight in to the Irish life as you set up the scene for Michaél and Dawid (hope I spelt them right omg!) also lovely addition translating the Irish! Much appreciated hahahha ;)
