About Angela Bright
Aloha! My whole life, I have always had a story in my head — Walter Mitty style — but I could never really get those stories onto the page the way I wanted to. I never saw myself as an author, and I didn’t grow up thinking writing books was something I would ever try.
But then I lived through a real-life, full-blown, harrowing experience where the stakes were high, mystery abounded, and I could hardly believe it had happened to me — or that I had survived it. And I couldn’t share it with a single soul outside of those who had experienced it with me.
As a result of that experience, my family and I moved to Hawaii, where a new adventure — and hopefully, healing — began.
But that secret still burned within me as I tried to form new connections and make friends. I felt like I couldn’t be my authentic self with anyone.
So, I started writing.
It was messy and clunky, but at least it was out. Still, it wasn’t enough for it to sit on the page unread. I wanted someone to hear it. To see everything I couldn’t say.
So I researched, found tools, and began creating.
I haven’t stopped writing since.
I have written a number of books with elements of what happened and what I learned woven through them, but I still haven’t been able to write the full story as it happened.
Follow me as I keep writing, keep telling bits and pieces, until the day I can face what happened head-on — and tell you all about it.
