A nice hobbit sized miniature

This short story takes the reader right into the heart of the Shire, where Gandalf the Grey shows up on Bilbo's doorstep, trying persuade the reluctant hobbit to follow him on an adventure. All who have read Tolkien's work know what eventually ensues, but this little story shows us the crucial scene from Gandalf's POV, which I find quite amusing and well captured. The grumpy and wise wizard ist obviously quite fond of Master Baggins and since he is very knowledgable, he of course pretends to know what's best for the middle-aged hobbit. A lovely read, which incorporates nicely some phrases from Tolkien and offers still a new and fresh view. Well done, mellon-nĂn!

Absolutely addictive!

If you are looking for a perfect mixture of adventure, romance, sweet and exciting moments, then look no more, because this is it! Kingsfoil is definitely my favourite Thranduil tale, because it packs all I love about the commanding Elvenking in one nice story.
The characters are wonderfully portrayed, the plot is well thought through by a writer who definitely knows her Tolkien lore, and the romance, yes, now comes the best part, is just so beautifully developed. One cannot resist the temptation to read one more chapter, and then another one. Well, at least I cannot.
So go ahead and do yourself a favour and delve into the wonderful world of Kingsfoil!

Thrilling suspense and sweet romance

If you're looking for a nice blend of suspense and romance, then this is the story for you. The author manages to connect the mystery plot featuring terrifying faceless Shadow Men that keep attacking the protagonist El seemingly out of nowhere, to the slowly developing romance between El and a sweet guy named Dillon. Both get dragged into an intriguing web of violence and thanks to the well-paced writing, the reader just has to keep on going to find out what's next.

Vampires have hearts too

This story explores the compelling topic of a female vampire adopting an orphaned human baby girl and the struggles she will be facing raising her in a world full of vampires. Not only does she have to fight against the disbelief of her husband, but her entire family, except for her son Aric, seem to be against her endeavour.

The plot is cleverly constructed and since the writing flows very smoothly, it's easy to follow along and imagine the scenes playing out while reading. The characters each have their individual voices and are fleshed-out, not just cardboard cutout characters.

There wrere a few minor spelling mistakes and sometimes the dialogues were a little bit confusing because the paragraph distribution didn't make it clear at first sight who was saying what. But all this can be fixed with some editing.

Overall, I can recommend this story for lovers of the paranormal. If vampires are your thing, then you should definitely pick up this story!

Bittersweet and haunting

This collections of short stories revolves around the topics of love and loss and allows us a glimpse into the human soul. The language is beautiful and descriptive, showing us the feelings of the protagonists. Especially the third story is real gem, bittersweet and full of melancholy. It's about love that could have been but was not meant to be, the imagery of darkness woven into the plot in a really lovely way.

Sizzling hot!

Steamy, hot, and very well written! A nice and short sexy story for when you've got a few extra minutes to spare. The author handles the (very) mature topics with ease and manages to sneak in even some sweet moments between all the hotness.
Recommended for mature audiences who can handle explicit language without feeling embarrassed while reading.
Well done, author!

Love and Heartbreak in Mirkwood

A beautiful tale about the possibility of second chances and about how love can be found in the most unlikely of places. The story of Clara from our world and Thranduil, the young prince of Eryn Galen, is as heartwarming as it is charming. Especially young Legolas has captured my heart! A must-read for any fan of romantic stories set in Tolkien's epic world of Middle-earth.
The writing is quirky and entertaining and makes it easy for the reader to immerse oneself in the story. We get to know a vast array of characters and discover both a new and familiar world alongside Clara...and we can fall in love again with Thranduil, the sexiest elf ever to walk Arda.

Nice, dark and twisted!

This short story is fantastically creepy and pulled me in the moment I soaked up the first words! The haunting atmosphere is perfectly described and I love the way the author drops hints about the past, the parents and the protagonists possible infatuation with her dashing brother. Love it! And I would love to read more!!!

Beautiful and lovely!

I really liked this take on Howl and Sophie, very lovely, with a pinch of hot desires and vivid originality. The characters are very well captured, staying true to the way we find them in the book, and Howl is really swoon-worthy, oh my! Who wouldn't want to be seduced by him?
The writing flows along nicely with a well structured prose and everything leads to an ending that's both cute and satisfying. Also the length of it makes it ideal for a comfortable and entertaining read.
A definite recommendation for everyone who loves Howl's Moving Castle!
